DECOUPAGE = fewer details, less organic, fewer colors, cheaper to manufacture. In the day, we would have used the term DUMBED DOWN
Thing back, it is rare that an elaborate 90 design - very detailed - gets done in 70. TEXAS WILDLIFE was one. The 70 was rendered nicely, but IMHO not as well as the 90, but nothing glaring. I spent 15 min going over the details of the 70 in store before declining to buy, without even trying on scarf. EPAULETTES was a simpler design to begin with and the 70 was rendered almost as well as the 90.
ACTE III is another detailed design and here they are making no pretenses about duplicating the o-design , the 70 is remixed so to speak and more graphic

Thank you to everyone (@SilkCouture, @LadyCupid, @Hanton, @Redbirdhermes, @redheaddem and any other lovely scarfies I may have inadvertently left out) for the amazing online and in store photos and to @Nomad, @momasaurus, @millivanilli and @marietouchet for the funny and thoughtful and rueful analyses as we move closer to the actual season.

I am still very agnostic so far although I do think that Precious Paradise and Mystere have lovely little details and seem like fun additions. At this point I only want to add unique cws or compelling designs so not sure yet. I am currently waiting for Hermes Flagship in light blue as I agree completely with @Ashanti_Rose that it has Hippopolis vibes and I love that one! Frustrated at not seeing more Della Cav cws though I already have a moussie and let go a DF from the 2020 issue so...I'd love a 90 twill or a CSGM in that iconic design but the cws so far won't add to my goals and Rose Bonbon requires me to be too close to an insulin pump. This may not be my year :girlsigh: . I can see falling for Cavalier en Formes CSGM depending on the scale of the center design. I recently succumbed to it in the 90 -- not on my radar at all until I tried it in store. I bought an unusual cw for me which I plan to save for spring. The border gives me ELeK vibes...

But I have learned that no matter what we say or think in theory when the scarves start showing up on necks and the shawls appear on shoulders it all seems to match up and everyone looks lovely in their choices. Congratulations on the new-ins, Scarflandia!

Ok so far 3 have peaked my interest
the red poppies in paradise stole my heart, the colors in splash park look enticing as do those of that living room scarf. unfortunately, they don’t tick all my boxes (Those darn butterflies, white space alert). i guess I’ll have to see IRL whet her they’re so good to override my checks. agree with all the WTFs, esp on acte III

while I look at the pictures like this...

can it be that H has a regular rhythm in which they adapt the colors to the color types of the people?

These are clearly colors that look great on the spring type. Before that we had a lot of designs that were perfect for winter types (like me). Before that, many colors that were good for autumn types....

I'm on to something.
absolutely. i have noticed a similar pattern

I like your selection, for me it is also colors above design for the moment. mine includes the beige doré cw of Paradise…

I like your list and would you mind sharing what app you use to make the collage? I am really bad at those

thanks! it’s called layout (by instagram but you don’t need any insta to use it.) it does crash occasionally but for a free app it’s fine

New to H scarves so I’m viewing them with fresh eyes. The hardest thing I’m experiencing is finding a colour way that works. For example, I have a cool skin tone and do best in bright, cool jewel tones (I’m a ‘winter’). Like the bright true red of flagship but then there often seems to be another warmer colour in the mix which jars with me, usually some sort of yellow. Rather than a CW being all cool or all warm. I really struggle with a lot of CW for this reason as they just don’t speak to me because there are one or two colours in it that I don’t like so much.
I need to be braver!

That said although khaki isn’t a cool tone I like that version of precious paradise. Design wise I think flagship is clever.

I really want to see more CW of jungle love. I’m aware that’s an older design and I like it a lot.
The forever scarves are reissues of well-known designs and usually only feature one colourway. For other colourways, you’d likely need to go the resale route for an older issue.

edited to add: I see this has already been answered!
