I know TPFers like to go to the cobbler at Paragon for their shoes. Is there a preferred drycleaner for RTW, twillies and scarves? I sent my twillies to the dry cleaners near my place and was dissatisfied by the results. Thanks!

Hey bertrande,
Please check this out .. especially if you are only referring to your twillies. It is 'easy peasy' especially given the equatorial weather of Singapore. I handwash mine all the time as I used them mainly for the handles on my lindy and bolide. [ Add a sheet of 'color fast' which you can find from either cold storage or Jason's :-) ]

Hi Iyseiji8,may I ask what is this color fast for?Is it detergent?

Dear all, I'm new to hermes. Keen to purchase my 1st hermes which is Picotin 22. Is it difficult to get one in SG? Do I need to have a purchase history or build any relationship with the SA?

Lastly anyone knows how much is picotin 22 selling for?
Any input is appreciated!

I hand wash all my Twillys. Very hard to trust laundry shop [emoji28] Even bags (Chanel), I self maintenance. Unless it's Hermes bags that I'd only take to hermes spa.

I use Essence detergent (for lingerie). A few drops into a small pail of cool water. Work into a lather. Throw in your twilly and do gentle rub. The soapy water will be dirty due to dirty hands (all my Twillys are used to wrap bag handles). Give a couple of clean water rinse and do not wring dry please. Give the twilly few gentle pull at both ends and lay them flat in shaded sun. I lay them on a netting I found at Daiso (in Taiwan. Not sure if sold in SG). It will dry pretty quickly and best part is no need to iron because of how I lay them flat and the pulling to even out the crease straight after the wash.

Thanks Purrsey for your advice!

I use presto @ Scotts square / takashimaya level 5

Wherever you end up, just don't ever use "For the Love of Laundry". I made a mistake of sending them $6K worth of scarves that all came back ruined by thoughtless and unapologetic staff. They pinned the corners so hard and roughly that my scarves all had huge pin holes in them...I took photos, sent and asked for explanation and they literally told me that they do not want to admit fault but I can send the scarves back for them to "repair". Needless to say, with that kind of customer service I never let them touch any of my scarves even with their offer to send to a tailor to repair.

I had sent some clothes for Drycleaning and they came back fine so I thought I could send my scarves... [emoji20]

I second that. I wouldn't send my hermes clothes to "For the love of laundry" as well. Recently, i had a bad experience with them again. And they told me that i have to send it back for repair with Hermes myself. Great.

Thanks everyone! I will try to handwash the twillies myself using the very useful tips above. For RTW, I think I will stick with Presto!
