Does anyone know how much more selection is available in one of the main stores compared to online/smaller stores. I have never been to the paris or new york stores.

I think nowadays they offer more great selection of Hermes stuffs on hermes.com.
I stopped hermes stores and they are so lacks of stuffs. However, they do carry slightest different items here and there.
Hermes.com Might even carry more than the Los Angeles or nearby stores. You can see everything you want online but going to the stores is different. Unless you have a very nic SA or someone who you already bought purses and bags from that particular SA and being recognized, chances are a lot of SA will tell you they only have what's in the display.

When I spoke to new SA or my SA, they will show me everything. But some SA will just smile at you and say no, (behaving in a way like you may be one of the browser, not someone who would actually making purchase if you do not carry a hermes bag), even if they do have more stuffs in the back.

There is a much more recent thread on shopping hermes.com; this one is nearly three years old. There are also threads on treatment in stores, stock in stores. Please feel free to contribute to a more recent thread if this discussion still interests you. Thanks.
