Hermès RTW event?

Hello, Im sort of new to Hermes. Recently my SA invited me to women’s rtw event. What is rtw event? I know I should have asked my SA but I forgot to.

I went to an evening RTW event recently and it was to showcase the new season of ready to wear items. There were models wearing pieces from the collection and the event included some live music, hors d'oeuvres and wine/cocktails. Let me tell you drinking and shopping at an after hours event like this can be dangerous for your wallet.

They want to win you as a RTW customer and thus want to give you the opportunity to see the new collection before/in time of its launch. Pretty casual, after the models have shown the clothes you can try them on yourself (note: not all sizes might be in). At my last event nobody purchased anything, so no pressure! It’s nice to take the time to touch and feel the clothes which is something I usually don’t have time for when I go to the store.

I was just at a RTW event with another TPFer at the Beverly Hills flagship. We had champagne and hors d’oeuvres . Smartly, they kept giving more champagne than food. There were two very lovely models who walked around in different outfits. There were definitely people buying and trying on clothes. It was a very very fun event. I think I have a new appreciation for the RTW.

I know this thread is two years old, but have RTW events completely changed in the age of a pandemic? My friend and I were invited to our first RTW event yesterday and the only difference I could tell from a regular shopping day vs. RTW event was there were a lot more people in the store and a RTW specialist from NYC was there to assist. I couldn't even tell what was new and what was current (current as in the same clothing I had seen the weekend before) as it was all mixed together. Not even water was offered. I was so disappointed. It was an awful way to present their newest clothing. The only thing I enjoyed was seeing how the RTW specialist was wearing head to toe past seasons of Hermes. It was really nice to see how the pieces are timeless. FWIW, my local boutique is located in Southern California.

Pre-pandemic they had drinks(alcoholic too) and models walking around the store in the new collection looks. Sorry to hear that you had a bad experience!

Anyone has attended the RTW events in the states recently? Can you share your experience? Have it got back to the pre-pandemic level? My local boutique is having one, but reading the comments above, I'm not sure if it's worth joining. TIA

I attended a daytime rtw event and you had to choose an appointment time. There were models walking around to showcase some outfits and live music but no food or drinks. It wasn’t as fun/lively as the pre-covid events I have gone to in the evenings where hors d'oeuvres and champagne were served. We did get to take home a small box of sweets at the end of our appointment. I have gotten chocolates and a s’mores kit at the two recent events (the other event was for watches)

We attended the RTW event in SF a few weeks ago. The US head of Women's RTW was there (on the far right in the below photo) as well as models walking around in the newest pieces, it was fun. I'm sure it'd have been more fun if social distancing and masks weren't required...and we could have a drink, but it was great nonetheless.

+1! Addison the RTW person picked out some stuff for me to try. It was essentially a shopping spot with me, my DH, Addison, my SA. and there were other SAs around to chat and express opinions. One pulled out an enormous hot pink HAC that was going to be photographed. And then we went downstairs for bags and, I think, that day, my SA had DHs H08 watch. I would say, if you sre interested in H RTW, then go, if not, then of course, what is the point? JMO though

The woman on the far right was facilitating the Seattle RTW event as well. There wasn't a ton to see, nor was there any models, food or drinks, but I was able to try a few things.
