In France the sales period is regulated by law. It was supposed to start June 24th, but the interest groups for retail in France are asking that the period be pushed back to July 22nd. Hermes sales are usually the first week of the public sales. I presume that the minister of finance will make a statement pretty soon unless he has already I just haven't seen it

Thanks @Liberté. I too was wondering if they will even keep same format at PdC this year if there are still social distancing measures in place (which I assume there will be to some extent). Maybe Hermes will do boutique events instead - I can dream right?

My dream would be that they do the sale online!
They may do a 3 or 4 day sale in January with a bigger selection of items like they did just a few years ago. But who knows. Most people at the H sales in Paris seem to be coming in from abroad or expats, and I highly doubt they will be able to go to Paris in droves in July or even August sadly.
The previous years the sales took place on the first days of seasonal sale. For the moment these are planned on the 24th of June, but the général seasonal sale might be delayed. We just have to wait (and have longer time to spare cash for it ^^)
The official state regulated sales are going to start on July 15th, it was confirmed today. So H sales, if they will take place will be sometime between July 15th and August 12th.
In Paris I saw leather and enamel jewelry, scarves and shawls, shoes, belts, ready to wear, ties and hats.There was much choice of each, and I got 2 items from a few seasons ago that I had been dreaming of back then.
A friend of mine who lives in Paris has said there won’t be a summer sale this year, it was confirmed to her.
