I saw this one! And I was in the movie theater last week for the new Wes Anderson film and an H commercial also played right after the trailers, which surprised me.

To an outsider, yes, but once one gets to know H, H is does not take itself too seriously.Excuse the intrusion, but as someone who is just an outsider looking in, that ad is not at all what I think of as the Hermès brand. Despite all the drama to get a bag, I think of Hermès as detached cool. Not for everyone. That ad is accentuating the drama and the chase. Kinda the opposite of cool.
Perhaps they want to make it known they don't only sell Birkin/Kellys, which is I guess all that 'sticks' in people's minds on SM.
People associate the chase for B&Ks, so perhaps it's move to attach 'legend' to a bag that is as yet not a legend, and then using the H-game MO of 'hunt' and 'chase' to make it seem more hard-to-get than it is.
Plus, if you can't afford the bag, suddenly you may find out there's they sell fragrances or lipsticks...
The Legend of the Della Cavalleria
They put it out in August. To me it looks like a normal campaign film, but it's good news for TV broadcasters if the big brands are returning.
Haha I kinda love it! Its satire! I feel like they did it just because it is like a movie trailer, so it would be fitting for it to air on TV
Gives me Game of Thrones vibes, which I love! Just as much as the bag itself!
I couldn't get through it.It’s not what I would have expected. I find it kind of unpleasant to watch.
Oh my gosh. I just watched the video with this in mind. It’s so true. I couldn’t stop laughing! This ad feels like Hermes is tongue in cheek making fun of all of us chasing quota bags - if you were to insert a B/K instead of the DC, all of the lines would make total sense: "Find me the bag!" " An epic journey," "Once I find it I will never let it go..."
Watch it again but imagine a K/B25 in a neutral color, and you'll feel your heartrate go up![]()
