So how was your trip? What's the inventory like over there? My husband has been wanting to go to New Caledonia for years now (to fish

The price is great as NC pricing is equally considered as in France.
Ooh it's a great option for Aussies then! It seems like they have much better stock than Sydney or Melbourne and you get a lovely holiday too!
I actually think Sydney and Melbourne are still better considering the stock level because they service a way larger market. It may only seem better at Noumea store because Syd or Mel probably won't show them to walk-ins..
Having that said, as long as you don't expect much, Noumea H visit might turn dream-come-true
Totally agree. I was there just before Christmas and the inventory was wonderful in NC, but saying that I know that FSH and other stores in Paris were also fully stocked. Christmas is a wonderful season for H seekers. The other times in NC from what I heard is pretty slim stocked, and you might have a wider stock inventory in Australia overall.I actually think Sydney and Melbourne are still better considering the stock level because they service a way larger market. Thanks for sharing the info honhon & Orange_Fizz Can't believe the Kellys were on display! I think my eyes would've popped out of their sockets at the sight. Brisbane store unfortunately doesn't get that many B's or K's compared to Sydney or Melbourne.. I think.. Though they were well-stocked with CDCs & everything else pre-Xmas last year.

So Honhon, you didn't have to buy anything else before being offered the lovely black B?
Going to Hawaii in May but if I don't get my first B or K from that trip, I'll try my luck in NC. Even if I don't get any, I'm sure DH will enjoy the fishing experience. Though it'll be nice to reel-in a bag as well

Sydney and Melbourne are impossible to get a B or K. I keep being told that the waiting list for both are still closed and have been for 1.5 years now.
It's so sad that the only offer to regulars. I buy at the sydney boutique but in no VIP.
I think a trip to New Caledonia might be worth a try.

WOW! Bs and Ks freely available... and the prices are similar to Europe... that is amazing. I would've expected the store to be quite basic seeming it's not a terribly busy spot. Good to know I'm wrong!
