Same! So weird! I feel like the cost of my travel will not let me save any money lol. I am still debating if I should go.
Especially my home store is NY. But I didn’t get invite for NY private sale. Probably from corporate. I know right, cost of travel. I was thinking not to attend but since this is gonna be my first time and never know when i will get this chance again so i will be flying in to miami for one day trip only and called off work. Hopefully gonna be worth it.

I was also surprised to be invited, as I am in NY and normally have a low spend and only buy accessories (scarves, SLGs, though this year I did buy a GP). Perhaps because I do most of my shopping at the Orlando store? Anyway, I hope I don’t regret not revamping my schedule to go! Looking forward to seeing all of your purchases!

I'm invited and if it's the same Sales that happened 10 years ago... lots of RTW, shoes, jewelry, silks and crap that you wouldn't buy but you do just because it's on SALE. I'm actually considering boycotting this event. The Miami store is too competitive and the US sales tactic is frustrating even for VVIP. Today, you can literally walk into any Hermes stores in London and create a wish list with no pre-spend. Honestly, you won't get anything by buying HH on sale. This will not count towards your next illusionary QTB. The mere fact that HH is having sales in several cities and countries at the same time, tells you what you need to know. Compared to a year ago, fashion and leather goods revenues are down.

Boycotting? Don't you just mean that you're not going to attend? I think many people are not attending and thats why they invited basically the entire eastern seaboard. You can create a wishlist in London just walking in but that doesn't mean you are going to get a bag. Same as you can create a wishlist in the USA and its no promise of a bag. Regardless, you are correct that sales event purchases are not counted as prespend and the event does not happen at the Hermes store but Hermes USA revenues are not down, according to recent financial disclosures and the merchandise at the sale spans many unsold seasons, likely nothing even from 2024. Hope you find something more pleasant to do that day!

I also received an invite, but haven't registered/accepted. This would also potentially be my first private sale...

Does anyone know how the waits are? It says you have a time slot given to you, but does anyone know if there could still be a long line outside with waiting to get in?

I am curious to see if there are interesting scarfs from earlier years. I remember that the sales in Paris or London? a few years ago even had some popular designs by Alice Shirley (e..g, into Canadian wild). I found it hard to believe. I have spent double the retail price to get her scarfs from reseller market.

So what do you guys think? Is better to shop at private sale but not count towards the purchase history to get qb or spend retail price at home store? Hard decision ever

You know my opinion already. I got super excited when I got the mail but upon reflection, you may fly to Europe and get similar/newer items for the same price incl. VAT refund. Spending 3 or 5K in RTW that is XX years old... and it's not like it's from the Gaultier's era.
