I have been to a couple but that was before the invite system. Went in NJ in 2019 ( I think and NYC a few years ago. I got the Miami invite today and booked a hotel. I have always gotten some great RTW and shoes so that is what I am hoping for… but I wonder bc there have been several sales this year already NYC London Toronto and Paris already so I hope there is still some good choices….

Once merchandise is sent to a country it is very difficult financially to move it to another country which is why they hold all of these independent sales. It is not the same merchandise traveling the world, but instead it is whatever is unsold over the years in that specific region. The New York vs Miami point is interesting, but none of the other sales (Paris, London, Toronto) have any bearing on the US sales inventory. NY has a sale every year so I’m not sure if their “leftovers” would be schlepped to Miami but for some reason I think not.

It's usually 60% off RTW and 50% off everything else, like shoes, scarves etc. There are also limits on how many items you can buy in some categories, like scarves. No limit on RTW. I was also invited but can't make it down that weekend. And unless I was going to make it a girls weekend away in Miami, which would be fun, I figured the cost of airfare and hotel would negate any savings if I made a special trip just for the sale LOL.

thank you so much for the info! I chose a time slot on the last day so only hour and a half to shop.

I was invited to one in 2015 (same year that the new permanent Design District location opened), sadly was not able to make it then because I was in Europe, but I am very excited to go this year!!! I thought that was a one-time thing because of the change of locations, but I hope this becomes a more frequent thing here!
