Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone has some experience with in store pick-ups at Hermès? As I really like the shopping experience in the physical stores I rather not have my purchases delivered to my house, but I don't want to miss out on any items either ;). I contacted Hermès allready but the e-mail response was rather vague. They told me I have the opportunity to inspect the item before thaking it out of the store but they also told me I will not get a shopping bag. "The product is wrapped only in it associated packaging and does not come with a shopping bag." I found this rather odd so just wanted to know if anyone has any experience with this.

Thanks in advance.

I order online quite regularly and use the collect in store option. They bring the item out to you and you see it before you sign for receipt. You also get a paper invoice in a sealed envelope which comes with your order. Every time I've done this I've received an orange bag although for larger items I've requested a white bag and if they have any they oblige.

I’ve collected in-store (Madison) for both larger (bag) and smaller (silks) items. As mentioned above, each time the product was unwrapped/unboxed in front of me for inspection. After passing inspection, I sign off on the acceptance and receipt of the product(s). The SA will put my purchase(s) in the orange bag along with a paper receipt in an envelope. I will say that on a couple occasions with single Twilly orders, the SA will ask if I want it to be wrapped and bagged. Naturally I will always say yes!

I do in-store pick up for all my online purchases. I think they described the way how the package reaches to the store. You get to open & check the item before sign off on the sheet then the SA will re-pack it for you to take along with the shopping bag. I can’t imagine any H store telling you to just take it without a shopping bag.

Silly question: They charge for shopping bags in CA. Are they gonna ask you to pay for it before leaving the store?:confused1:
Honolulu has a bag fee also and I had to pay it when doing normal shopping. It was kind of ridiculous because at first I said "no thanks" for a bag but then remembered that the item was for someone else and a bag would be a nice touch. They had to undo the entire transaction and then re ring it in order to add the 15 cent charge. :whut:

Sorry you couldn’t get the paper bag hookup!

Lol I was thinking how I look at the price of bags in the thousands and think, “Hmmmm, that’s a good deal.” But some other things I look at and think, “$39.99???!!! That’s too much!!” Hahaha!!! I won’t spend $6 on Starbucks (I have my own superautomatic espresso machine), but I’ll spend 5 figures on a handbag <face palm>

@ sf_newyorker I don’t even carry any change with me. This happened at the doctor’s office recently. I went for an appointment and they said that I owed 9 cents from my previous visit ha ha ha ha! I asked if they could add it to that day’s bill so I could pay it all at once, and they said no! Too funny.
