Hi, Mr. PP!

Glad you made it home safe and sound!:D I think you left Manila just in time. All of a sudden, it is soooo warm here...not good for H scarves.:sweatdrop: Please extend my birthday wishes to the fabulous Mrs. PP.:partyhat: I'm sure the celebration will be a blast!

Baileylab - Yup, you had Vanessa there. She entertained me when I visited the store.;)

Ok I'll keep that in mind, Ms. Priestly.

Just wondering, do H SAs work on commission? Do you wait for your fave SA if he/she is busy or do you just go to another available SA?

Has anyone been offered a B in the Manila store?

I guess they get a commission for every sale also. I noticed that they write down the name of the SA on the receipt when I got a few items.:smile1:

I went to visit the new Hermes store in Makati. The store is nice and located in a good area. Makes me proud to be a Filipino. I salute the Huangs!:D

I was going thru the scarves, when I was approached by a short good looking salesman for hermes, asked me if I wanted to see it, followed by "it's very expensive because....." Then he saw a customer he knew and left me. I was suppose to buy one but I was so offended that i decided not to do so.

I noticed an elderly lady beside me, she was covered in Bulgari jewelry (lower end), not in uniform but attending to some clients, "VIP" i guess. She was not minding me. I heard her selling bulgari jewelry to the matrons she was talking too. :yahoo: Very SSI!!!

To my dismay, I found out that the store GM, Mario Katigbak was there. He was very snooty and only attending to clients he knows. He let this elderly lady sell Bulgari Jewelry to Hermes customers! Even gave a comment, "Good Choice!" hahahaha! He seemed drunk or something. :graucho:

Que Horror!!!!:graucho: Such a reputable brand has been turned into a flee market in Manila. I hope Hermes management will do something about the sales people in their store. I honestly felt that I was in an outlet store. The only difference in Hermes Manila is that they have so much "VIP's" paying in "terms or installments" with their credit cards. I saw several clients paying and standing by the counter, asking for free orange bags.

What a day;)!!!

It's really a shame that the shopping experience at this store is terrible. Might at well have just put the boutique in Divisoria or Tutuban. I found the asking for extra orange bags funny because as I was boarding the MRT last week, I saw a lady carrying her baon in one of those bags. Grabe! Kapal muks talaga ang ibang mga Pilipino. Question though: If Mario is GM of Hermes Manila, who's in charge of Bulgari now?

hahahha - so funny, girls! So now the new sosi lunchbag is an Hermes paperbag? my goodness. nothing like Pinoys to degrade one of the highest brands.

I was at the store around Christmastime and was cordially helped by SAs. i went there 3 times and i was attented to immediately. It helped that i got there before the frenzy started. I went there on the 22nd, 23rd & the 26th.

One the first & second visits i didn't buy anything and looked at a lot of things and they were so nice to show me anything i wanted. I told them i was there to look and try out things only as i have already blown my bag budget in 2009. they still helped me.

On the 3rd visit i bought an ex libris bangle. I took about 30 mins deciding on it and taking out and trying on every leather bracelet on the shelf (about 5 or 6 of them). the SA was very patient and nice. I didn't even get the paperbag. I just chucked the box into my bag (lindy hehe).

But so true, the VIP list made me feel like a low life. I feel it's impossible to get a Birkin there considering their social list is super looooong.......

Gosh, I am not sure! Maybe that elderly lady.:yahoo:

The other sales people were busy attending to some clients. In fairness, some of them are nice. Although, some do not know what they are talking about but they try to act so unimpressed with the big purchases of the customers.

When I was in Hermes Paris, George Clooney entered the store. Everything was normal. I did not feel the fuzz at all. But here in Manila, A socialite enters, hala! OA! Some of them were being attended by the GM together with 3 more people attending to the GM. gosh! :)

I just went to the H store last week. I wasn't dismayed with the service, but then I didn't buy anything. I just browsed :) I did see I think the same woman you were pertaining to-- she was helping out a client with a pair of shoes, and incidentally that client was a friend. She wasn't very friendly based on my interaction with her, but she was very accommodating (2 different things-- friendly and accommodating :D), after I asked her about a pair of shoes that they didn't have. So the experience was really nothing that exciting to write home about yet. :) I'm sorry you had a very bad experience there, but I'm also sure it's because the store is still new, and they're still getting a feel of everything. I'm sure it will normalize in a month or so :) Give them another chance :)

And funny observation about the H orange paperbags :D
