My favorite H grey is gris mouette, then gris tourterelle (beige-y grey). I generally prefer my greys to have cooler undertones, and etoupe looks more elephant grey than a true grey. If your heart is set on getting another/different grey, I'd go for one with cooler undertones for sure, like gris mouette or gris asphalte..maybe even etain (still has slight brown undertones but less pronounced relative to etoupe).

Agree with the other ladies. Etoupe is nice for people with certain skin tone to carry it off. It personally washes me out. I LOVE Etain and Gris Perle though. Grey on the cooler side and looks nice with pops of color in twillys, rodeos, or SO with pop on the inside leather.
Gris mouette - because it is less delicate than gris pearl and, as a medium shade of grey, for me personally it can be worn all year round.

(Apologies for the lengthy comment, but maybe it will help others:
I have an étoupe H-bag. A very expensive experience for me: I bought so many clothes, H accessories (belts, wallets, card holders and more) just to make it work for me. Still, étoupe remained unflattering on me. Thanks and courtesy to @papertiger (I can't remember where on tpf I read this) I then realised why: Some colours look best on me, when I mix warm and cool tones! So further scarves (H, of course) were bought, I no longer chose tone-in-tone for étoupe (which I usually love), but different shades of blue, black or cream/white for clothing and even some scarves with a pop of colours - now I can also wear this neutral tone for me and have an alternative to my otherwise very frequent camel, cream and grey tones.

i have Etoupe B30 and Gris Mouette K28, both are SO and although Gris Mouette is true grey and she’s one of my favorite comparing the two, but i found Etoupe goes with almost everything in my closet, and I frequently reached out to her ... not so much with my Gris Mouette, it sort of washes me out against my wardrobe, maybe I need a new set of wardrobe lol

I love my Gris Mouette bag the most with cream outfits or cream and light grey leather pants and actually my favourite scarf for this combo is Cavalcadour Voltigeur with the yellow border (spring summer 2020).

I have an Etain Evelyne 29, an Etain Birkin 30 PHW, and an Etain Kelly 28 PHW, so I think my vote also goes to Etain, lol. I keep trying to make myself like Etoupe and I just cannot--it is too brown for me.

That being said my Graphite and Gris Pearle are very close to my heart as well.

I feel exactly the same! I have etain b25 and mini E and I like them so much, and hardly reach for my etoupe evelyne 29. D9ACDBD1-66A0-4C2E-BDBA-542F560B70F8.jpegMy so order was magnolia and gris perle too :)

Hi, if someone has both Etoupe and Gris Asphalte can post picture of them side by side I’d be very grateful, especially in Swift leather.
I’m contemplating 2 Kelly 25 in Swift in these colours. TIA
