Sorry for the messy pics but this lovely just arrived and wanted to share.
I already had on a gray cardigan this morning as my DH keeps the house cold.
Can’t wait to play around with a different knots to show the green side.
Love it!

Oh gosh, that is gorgeous! I have my eye on this one and also the #1 but have yet to find either one, so being as patient as possible. Would love to see more photos of how you're styling it. Am definitely liking it with grey. Congratulations on your fabulous scarf!

One of the most beautiful designs I've seen in ages!! I have no business being here (I have enough scarves), but I'm really hoping there may be a colorway of this that works for me! :graucho: Thanks so much for sharing, @MAGJES.

For me, it is the feeling I get when I wear a scarf. If I’m not excited to wear it, then it won’t get worn.

There were a few reasons this one was sent back.
- the orange tones looked more golden on the website. I just don’t really like the contrasting color.
-the second tie is okay but again, with the distracting border, I’m not feeling the corners.
- ultimately I had too many scarves on my list and had to narrow it down. Since I picked up RL and it was love at first wear, this one had to go back.

Returns online are simple and easy (in my opinion) so if you can afford paying upfront while you decide if it’s for you, you could try it out.

Hope this helps.

Thanks, @Critzie this helps. I have to love a design too - I am a wearer, not a collector, so it has to be something I would reach for. Your feedback about the colours and borders is helpful.
The peaches and apricots in this are on the edge of my comfort zone, but seem well-balanced. And I hadn’t given much though to the border, but you’re right, it does stand out. The blue hem on black, along with the golden/caramel tones, actually reminds me of the edges of the black grand tralala (which I also have).

I think it looks great on you actually! It probably suits you better than it will suit me ;). I appreciate you sharing your thought process for ultimately returning it and your feedback and pics are helpful, thank you. I also have RL on my list, and am not debating that one, so perhaps there is some redundancy. So many pretties this season!

I have yet to make a return, and I’m hoping not to break my streak ;). Though this probably speaks more to my lack of willpower…

Hope it’s okay to ask here: for anyone who has purchased the Blue Noir Sacre de Saisons, how are you getting along with it? It’s on my (not so)shortlist for this season and I live a long way from a store so online purchase is my only option.
There have been some very enabling photos here, but I’ve noticed also that there seem have been more returns for this one than other designs. Would anyone be willing to share what didn’t work once you had the opportunity to play around with it more? Or, conversely, if you kept do you still feel the same way about it?
I find with Pierre Marie designs they can be challenging at first, but tend to grow on me!
Thanks for the feedback, and mods: if this is not appropriate here, please feel free to move or delete if necessary. Thanks.
There are two with Blue Noir. Mine has rose and a light green (looks like vert fizz). I love the movement of the design and the colors. It has been so rainy lately; I am sorry that I haven't had the chance to wear it. I know that I will get a lot of wear out of it during the fall and winter. I just need the weather to cooperate. (I find that it looks great paired with navy, black, white, soft pink. I feel like it can be dressed up or down.) Hope this helps!
The other Blue Noir is lovely, but I only own the one described above.

Thank you @Ladybaga this does help.
Yes, it’s the Bleu Noir/Ciel/Rose CW I was looking at. The Bleu Noir/Crème/Potiron is very striking (I think @Cookiefiend may have this one?) and was the CW that originally caught my attention, though on reflection I think it may be too much crème for me. Also, orange and I are reluctant friends at best, though I can just about manage this amount!

I wear a lot of black, grey and navy, and the versatility is a must, so your feedback is really helpful. The ciel/rose is probably the best CW for me. I’m leaning towards a yes at this point, but a good CW of Sous le charme d’orphee might push me in the other direction. Given I like them fairly equally, the different price point should also go in Sacre’s favour.

It’s funny, I’ve been slow to decide this season, and my preferences have evolved more than usual. Back when this thread launched, my first choices were nuages and Sous le charme. I cannot shake the, er… anatomical associations with nuages, and have finally just decided it’s off my list. Robe Legere went from not interested to a yes, thanks to many lovely mod shots here. I’m still hot and cold on Liberte. I LOVE the dogs, and it looks fantastic modelled here, but I don’t really favour more abstract designs. I’m undecided as to CW for Sous le charme, and might just get my Shirley fix with a twilly. Lanternes is the only constant, and even there, my CW of preference has changed. We really are spoiled for choice this season.

sorry for the long post!

I finally received this stunning colourway of Amis Pour La Vie. It’s a gift for my friend so I can’t take any mod shots but I had to take it out of its box to take a photo of the rich purple colour. It has a sheen to it - it’s gorgeous! Now I need to hunt for one for myself!!
This is my favorite contrasting hem of the season

I agree that this is a magnificent season with something for everyone! It is so hard to narrow down choices because each design looks fabulous in so many colorways! You are very wise to thoroughly research to find a design and colorway that makes you jump for joy. These beauties are too expensive to sit in boxes. I especially love the "surprise" scarves...ones I never thought much about until seeing them in person. RL and Seasons did that for me. "Meh" on the website, but "MARVELOUS" in person. Shopping H could be classified as "frustrating fun." I can't wait to see what you get!

Aren’t the surprises the best? I feel that way about all my Pierre Marie designs. I didn’t think anything of “the cake scarf” until I tried one in an airport boutique and was amazed at how GREAT it looked on. The black Patisserie Francaise came home with me, and I passed over a JL rainbow, a duo cosmique and a lone remaining cosmographia that visit, which should tell you how much I love it! Similar for source de pegase; I nearly missed it entirely, but it’s magic tied. they seem to come to life when worn.
To keep it on theme, I suspect sacre will be the same. Do I NEED it, probably not, but if it captured your heart then I’ll be in very good company!

Do I need a fourth? :wondering:

Fabulous colors on you, MAGJES! This is glorious with your hair! I would absolutely get this one, but I am afraid it may be too similar to our Alice Shirley MZ as far as the colors are concerned? It seems like there is definitely enough difference in the design and with this being two-sided, I could still get a lot of use out of this colorway, but I wasn't sure if it was too similar. What are your thoughts? (Who am I kidding....I'll most likely get this one, too......)
Truth be told, I should just get you to pick up two scarves/shawls when you are at H (one for you, one for me...)
and just pay you back! I always like what you choose and tend to copy your choices!
