Hermes fall 2011 sale

Yesterday, I got the invitation for a private day on Wednesday, September 21st. It will be at Soiffer Haskin at 317 West 33rd Street (near 8th Avenue). The time on the invitation is between 2pm-6pm.

Wednesday, September 21st (Private sale)
So I think Thursday, September 22nd - Sunday, September 25th is for public.

Im thinking of flying in from Canada to get to the sale....is it worth it? I would love to get a cross-body bag, scarves and some scarf rings.....what's usually on sale? and what time does it start on the 22nd? I'm guessing i wont be able to go to the private one

the past few Hermes sales have been disappointing.. but there is always something
to find there.. last sale there weren't so many scarves and accessories..butyou never know...see you all there!!

I REALLLY hope they have some garden parties this time around since my friend wants to get one to put her B in when she travels. I'm still looking for monsier et madame for a scarf and an ever elusive cashmere shawl!

The only place I've seen H watches were at the Tourneau sale earlier this year. I snagged an H hour watch in silver with etoupe band at 50% off. New!!!

Dunno, I stumbled on it after walking out of the Westminster Dog Show at Madison Square Garden. It was at the same location as the H sale which is about a block from the Garden.

The first-day invitations are non-transferable, so not salable. The sale is open to the public the 22nd and thereafter, no invite required.
