Everyone attending the sales this year, I wish you a Happy Hunger Games…
![]()
Can’t wait to see what you got! But I’ve got almost a whole week to wait tilI am on the tube on the way back home now, so full debrief will come once I’ve had a chance to recover and regain some semblance of sanity…
![]()
But it was brilliant!
Blew my budget by 100%, so evidently I cannot be left alone to be a responsible adult though…
But I guess there wasn’t a 2023 sale, so I can say that there was a rollover allotment from the budget for that fiscal year.

They weren’t enforcing one-way, I definitely went back and forth between sections a lot!Hey all, bit of a newbie to PF but not to shopping 🤣 could anyone that went today share the layout pretty please? And were they enforcing any sort of one-way system? If I remember right in 2022 they did this!
Amazing finds! Very envious, but so happy for you at the same time. That blanket is particularly lovely. So, I've finally had a chance to sit down and soothe my aching feet, and digest the day.
I had the first slot of the day at 11am, and I got there around 10.20am.
There was already quite a few people in the queue but it turns out that some of them were there from the second slot, and were trying their luck in terms of seeing if they could get in sooner. Some were with their guests with different time slots and trying to see if they could get in at the same time, but the organisers were strict in only allowing you to stick to your timeslot for entry.

Once inside, it was pretty smooth sailing, you had the ID and invite check, and then the coat check. Once I was in, I asked whether they operated a strict one way system, but was told it was fine to go in and out in the different departments, so don't worry about that. You can visit the various departments as often as you like.
I was waiting for my TPF bestie who had the slot after mine, so I decided to concentrate on my search first. I told myself before the sale that I was aiming for specific items, and to really whittle the search down to those categories. I wanted a pair of boots, a blanket, and something from Accessories, and potentially a piece of RTW.
The route is as follows - Men's RTW, Women's RTW, Men's Shoes, Women's Shoes, Silks, Accessories & Fashion Jewellery, and Homewares. RTW was 70% off; Shoes 50%, Accessories and Homewares 50% off. I didn't scrutinise silks, so I can't opine on those.
I made a beeline for men's footwear first, as that was the priority, and sizing would be an issue if I took my time to go check it out.
Immediately, I found and fell in love with what I was looking for exactly - the Fortune Ankle Boots! They had one pair in my size in a beautiful Marron Praline in Veau Lisse (patinated calfskin), and they were simply luminous! I tried on some other shoes, but eventually just held on to the boots.

I went to Women's shoes next to secure a pair of sneakers for TPF bestie who had the next slot, and managed to find a beautiful pair of suede Day sneakers which I thought she'd like (spoiler alert - she loved them, I did good!) and held on to those until she arrived later.
I then went on into Accessories, Fashion Jewellery and Homewares. I was immediately floored to realise that they had belts in the sale! I was planning to get a new 32mm belt kit later on in the year, and I'm so glad I held off from purchasing one around the time of the Kelly purchase, as I found a gorgeous belt in Vert De Gris/Vert Amande Epsom, which I think will look amazing with my new Gris Misty Kelly. At first I assumed they were only selling the belts, but was so excited to find out that they had the buckles for sale as well, and I found my ideal one, which was the H Gourmette buckle in brushed gold!

The belts and buckles were 50% off. The way it works is you can just take the belts with you, but with the buckles, you selected the one you wanted, and they would put it behind the till for you, and give you a slip to claim it at checkout. I presume this is to prevent people from trying to shoplift these tiny items in their pockets etc.
After getting the belt, I then went to the Homewares section. There you have some games, some trays, storage boxes and textiles i.e. blankets, cushions and towels. The limit for textiles is one per person, and that applies across the textile categories, so you can only get one blanket, OR a cushion OR a towel, so bear that in mind when you're deciding on any of these. I wanted an Avalon blanket, and there were a few Avalon jump blankets in the sale, alongside some pricier cashmere offerings. I found one which I loved in a grey/blue colourway, which was the only one in stock at the time (the others were a yellow and a green colourway). I secured the blanket, absolutely thrilled that I found one I loved!

Once I got the priority pieces, I felt I could calm down and just slowly scrutinise the other offerings. I went back to Fashion Jewellery to see what was available. I wanted to potentially get a CDC but I would only want it in exotic, and even at 50%, I thought they were overpriced for costume jewellery. It was a moo point anyway as the only T3 CDC on offer at the time was a hot pink plain leather one, which I wasn't keen on. I considered a Rivale wraparound bracelet in lizard ombre, and put it on hold, but eventually at checkout, I turned it down, to be disciplined. Very demure, very mindful...
Fashion jewellery had a great extensive selection, and they were arranged first according to wrist size, followed by a necklace section, and an earring section. There was quite a range of exotic leather pieces on offer, and I noticed a Picnic CDC cuff as well.
After checking the FJ section out, I then headed on to Men's RTW. There were so many beautiful pieces on offer, including a silk and cashmere cardigan that James Norton wore to the premiere of A Little Life, but I had to be good and restrained myself. I eventually found a great Run H crewneck sweater for 70% off in a few colours, and I ended up going with a gorgeous Brouillard shade!

Once I picked my choices, I waited for bestie to get in so that we could shop together. I did end up having one of the staff trying to move me out of the rooms because of the timeslot, but given 1) my timeslot ends at 1, there was no way I was going to be rushed out before my time, and B) I wanted to help my friend pick out stuff as well. I basically had to evade the guy while we shopped. Honestly, at one point I was peeking through racks like a hyperactive meerkat... It was fine once we left the shoe section thankfully.
Honestly, that was ridiculous, by the time I got into the checkout queue once we were done, I definitely saw people there who were with me in the first timeslot anyway!
Checkout was pretty straightforward, and it didn't take too long for us to get our things cleared. All in all, it was a fantastic day! The selection on offer and the discounts were amazing, especially compared to the 2022 sale.
I've received a second invite from Hermes, and I chose this coming Saturday's 9am slot, and I will definitely be going back to do one more sweep on that last day, perhaps to get another belt or maybe more homewares! Hopefully I'll see some of you guys there!
Yaay! See you at 9am on SatSo, I've finally had a chance to sit down and soothe my aching feet, and digest the day.
