Okay, now a frivolous question: ARGH! What's with all of the dangerous outdoor suggestions for Mindi? Are ya tryin' ta kill me? Outward Bound? Dog-sledding? SKYDIVING? What did I ever do to you guys? EB and Avril have me pegged. The perils of urban shopping and dining are more in my line. And BBL is right on, too. Reading. Ahhhhh, that's my speed.

You are also the master of interpreting Chi, as evidenced by your translations of Olive's work from the original.

OK--how about this--Visit every H in the US this year? Visit mall of america and go in every store (with Collin and I as escorts)?

Thank you so much, Laney. It's been a difficult holiday, but I was able to bring sweet Emma home today. We'll save a pinch of her ashes to be mixed with ours when it's our time, and plant a tree in the spring with the rest. I'm glad to have her home. :-) And, I'm very happy to see you post! :-)

BBL, (and Mr. BBL) :hugs:

It has been a difficult time as my Dad passed away 3 weeks ago today.

With all the wonderful ladies here on Chat I knew that if I posted in chat someone would ask how my family/Dad was doing and I didn't want to post that he had passed, since it was so close to Christmas and New Years. That should be time of happiness and cheer and I didn't want to post my family's sad news then.

Oh, Laney, I'm so sorry! I know it wasn't unexpected, but that doesn't make it less difficult. :-( My dad passed away two weeks before Christmas almost 20 years ago. I still miss him. My prayer are with you and your family.

CG--This is very sweet. I hope you don't mind if I borrow some of your ideas when it's Magic's time.

CG--I still miss my dad too, and it's been close to 20 years. I thought it had softened, but Collin has his eyes and I think how much he would have enjoyed having a grandson.

Laney, my heartfelt sympathy on your loss. My dad has been gone for 27 years and I still think of him often. Time makes it easier to get over the loss but we never forget the good memories. Wishing you lots of good memories to remember him by.

Laney, I am so sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. Like most of us here, knowing he was gravely ill I was thinking about you and wondering, but didn't want to pry. It was kind of you to think about our feelings, but please do post when you need to, no matter when. Supporting each other in difficult times is also what Chat is for. Hugs to you and your family.

So well said.

Yesssss! With Collin, I could write my own ticket at any store in the world. "Well, my little friend Collin here was really hoping I would find a [name rare item] . . . ." I would SCORE every time!

Yoga update (I know you're all waiting with bated breath): Right leg behind head (with head rather bowed forward, but hey, I'm still stoked)! Left leg, not so much. Stupid scoliosis. I am emphatically nonsymmetrical!
