Well, I haven't seen it, and DH has, and he just explained the ending to me, and it took ten minutes. Seriously. So, if you are motivated to e-mail me, DH sez he'll try to talk you through his interpretation!

Really? 10 mins? I was good up to the point where the chick quits and goes back to SF and GC gets to go back on the road to fire people, but the "happy" fired people's dialogues at the end and his weird, uplifting voice over at the end left me :confused1::shrugs::thinkin::rtr::couch::help:.
Thank DH for his offer:hugs:!

Basically, DH says the movie leaves open the question as to whether GC's character actually changes at all over the course of the film. Seems like he tries to make some changes, but some are too late, ill-advised (the million miles don't make him happy), or repudiated (his attempt to reunite with former GF), and the ending--deliberately ambiguous--suggests (per DH) that in fact he DOESN'T take his colleague's advice (to pick a flight and just go) but simply slips back into his familiar and soulless routine. Make any sense at all?

Yup! Pretty much what I got, the ambiguity is what I dislike! I need my stories to end more tidy, ya know:p.

Hey Mindi, would you be up for mini-WOW the 26th of May weekend? Anyone?:yahoo:

OMG, I just realized what today is:crybaby:

It's hard to believe it has already been one year since the shattering news arrived that Alexander McQueen had taken his own life. Just as we were rolling up our sleeves and soaking in the first rush of Fashion Week, we were sobered by the loss of this creative genius. At age 40, the British designer left a legacy behind him that was cut far too short. And while it's hard not to mourn the amazing collections he would have continued to create had he not ended his life, it was a truly beautiful, epic show while it lasted. Today we set aside that same Fashion Week rush for a few minutes to recall the words of those who loved him and respected him as an artist and a visionary.

Me, maybe! I have an annual Vegas trip in early May. But if we get good rates, I might be able to also justify a WOW trip.
