Argh. I've had rotten luck in Paris - everyone seems to have spotted a Birkin but me! :pout::cry:

The Rue de Grenelle store is such a different climate - I loved that I was able to sit down and slowly look at my purchases without feeling like the SA was rushing me and without the general hustle and bustle of FSH or even George V.

dear, it's ok... you will have better luck next time. lady luck will smile on you soon:) :D

I just went to the rue de Grenelle boutique today and it is easiest to get there from metro Rue du Bac. You get out of the metro and if you continue straight from the metro you will hit rue de Grenelle on your left.

Regarding other stores in the area, on your walk down the street you will see the original Christian Louboutin store, very small space and always packed! Also in the area are some of the most beautiful lingerie stores. Garine Gilson is next door to Hermes and to the left is Sabbia Rosa who does wonders with silk. YSL, Moschino, Sonia Rykiel, Prada and many more are all within 2, 3 minutes walking distance.

Rue de Grenelle really is another world compared to FSH or GV. The SA's are all extremely nice and the environment is a lot more calm. I went on a saturday afternoon and it was not crowded at all, while FSH on saturdays is packed. The boutique also has a much more modern design which I think adds a nice touch especially for the area. St. Germain is much more trendy than the area's of FSH or GV so I think they designed it really well to fit with the clientele in the are. The SA also told me that if you want something that they only have available at FSH or GV they can get it to the store the next day or ship per choice.

I asked about their stock of Birkin's and Kelly's and the SA told me that while they only have 1 Kelly at the moment (32cm brown croc) Hermes is sending them more in the coming weeks so that the demand for this boutique goes up. For now it really seems that it is for people in the know, I mean really dead on a saturday.

Regardless, I found the selection to be really nice. They had some Picotin's in interesting colors and had most of the small accessories in exotics. Since the visit I will now be saving up for a gorgeous Vert Anis lizard Globetrotter zip (long name lol).

If anyone wants me to ever check up on what they have available if someone is looking for something in particular, feel free to PM as I am right by the boutique most saturday's!

Thx for the info, na294! Im sure this boutique would suit my upcoming visit, esp when im only interested in getting accessories at the moment :p

Do you know what the opening hours are like (im prob more interested in the closing time, heehee)?

I believe they are open from 10:30 until 7 pm.

The accessories collection is definitely great here! Tons of watches and jewelry. A good selection of leather bracelets. Nice selection of scarves and wraps.

It really does not seem like a temporary store in the slightest bit!
