Hi everyone,
I have been offered a 35 cm Kelly retourne in Pelouse for $61,430 (Australian dollars)
is that the RIGHT price they sell in Hermes store over there???!!!!
I purchased a 35cm croco kelly from Paris 8 months ago and it was around 24,000 euro!!!:weird: I converted it to Australian dollars and it was for 33,000!!!
It's nearly double the price there in Australia !
I'M TOTALLY SHOCKED!
It's from the boutique for god's sake its not from a re-seller!

Australia is one of the most expensive countries thAt you can get a birkin from. For example in the USA, a 35cm is about usd9000, but in aust is close to aud13,000. And Once you couple that with the strong aussie dollar, the goods trend to be really quite pricey. Can you get back tax?
Actually that is not correct. After tax is about $10250 for a 35 in California in 2010. There is a price increase today. So it will be more than $10250 now. $9000 sounds like a very good price. I wish it was $9000 after tax.
I am not sure about the price for the Kelly you referred to........but if you get it shipped directly overseas, GST will be deducted automatically..........
I remembered last year, a shiny poro B30 is about 55000, so I guess it sound right since it is bigger size!!
A friend of mine was offered the above bag by someone in Australia. The representation is that it is from the store and costs US$38K.

That maybe correct, depending on what size the croc bag is! Our B25 alligator bag start around mid A$30000, B30 gator about 4xxxx, I think, nilo 45xxx, and poro is about 54xxx! So if the Kelly is about 38000, then I think it is about right!
