Was wondering was there ever a 35 cm Kelly in ostrich? I saw someone had it it was made in the 80s.

Yes I've seen a few Hermes 35 ostrich Kellys, all on auction because they are very rare. Rare leather and rare size.
Unless I'm mistaken, all H ostrich bags these days are SOs - certainly anything above 30 cm is SO. I've been told H ostrich bags are much much harder to get than any other H exotic bags, much more than croc.

Do you know why they are harder to get than croc? Do the Kellys in the 80s come with a strap? I'm actually trying to reach the seller who had a 35 cm ostrich. How much do they usually go for for very good to excellent condition?
No, they didn't come with straps in the 80s. As for price, suggest you do some research on recent sales. Price is fairly subjective and will depend on condition and, to some extent, on colour.
Thanks, the problem is I can't find 35cm prices or recent sales. It's dark brown with gold hardware. Has minor wear on corners.
If I wanted to buy a strap for it, ostrich and same color, how would I do that? Can I just go Hermès and order it?
You can try to go to your Hermes store to order it, basically it's possible. Whether they accept it or not is another matter.
You can try to order it but my prediction is it could take years to come. They need to find a piece of ostrich skin which matches the texture of the bag and has to be dyed in the same colour which may or may not be in production.
Ostrich is in shortage because the disease among the birds in farms supplying Hermes. But last time I heard, it seems the situation is getting better.
I had one from the 90s and it came with the strap. Mine is 32cm not 35cm. didn't know that it comes in SO only. It is indeed a nice leather and not as pricey as croc.

I've been trying to get a 32cm ostrich Plume for YEARS, and Hermes keeps refusing or cancelling the order. I'm told that each season there is only a small amount of skin to go around for all the stores, and Hermes' attitude is "Why should we make one bigger bag when we could make two smaller bags and hence more profit?"
Hermes has had major sourcing issues for good ostrich skin for the past 4-5 years which is why they have significantly limited the production of ostrich bags in bigger sizes even for SOs. Hermes ostrich bags (not just birkins or kellys) are now virtually impossible to find in boutiques. (About 6-7 years ago, you could get a 30 and 35 birkin right off the shelf, which is how I got my vert olive ostrich 35 birkin.)
I waited about two years for my ostrich 35 birkin SOs in violine and rouge VIF. In both cases, they tried to persuade me to get it in 30 but I refused since I use my 35 ostrich birkins when I need to travel and take a quick day flight for my business and I need the extra space for documents.
They always used to say "Ok if you really want it in the 35, that means you'll have to wait an extra year...."
