Don't buy a bag if you hate the color. I agree with the poster above, just wait until you find one that works. It might even be that you find the Celine in a color you prefer.

As you are in the UAE, have a look at lya lya bags..Thank you so much for all of your replies, they were extremely helpful. I should have mentioned that the YSL SDJ blue is in fact the nano size which is the the smallest one in the collection. I've been doing a lot of research and to be honest it is getting rather painful (headache wise) thinking and not reaching any conclusion. Well that's a lie, I came to a short list and I know the direction I'm going.
I love my bags to a point that my father suggested me to see a counselor, they are kinda like my happy pills? ground me like an anchor, a materialistic way of being happy, but to be honest I failed finding it in people or life in general to I hang on to this sweet little creatures for dear life.
My family and friends get really frustrated on how much time I spend thinking, researching and daydreaming when I'm planning to buy a bag. They simply dont understand that I hate doing impulse shopping, even more when I end up with something I dont feel the connection..they end up staying in their dust bags.

Sorry for rambling, I just never had a chance to be so open about my obsession.
I think I want to go for a small bag. I either carry my ps1 or speedy to work and fill them to the brim but I almost do not reach out for anything other than the main necessities. So, assuming that I need to pack a miniature luggage during the week is just downright silly. I have mastered the art of packing my whole life in a small pouch, so that is not a problem either. Plus it is both formal and practical for any occasion. That brings me to the following list:
1. YSL SDJ/Nano/ Blue ......Love everything about it.
2. Celine Luggage tote/ Nano/ Dune? .....(color is just uuuugh)
3.Balenciaga mini city gris....a bit edgy and casual?
4. LV Alma bb....Love this baby but I want to get away from LV and try other designers
5. Coach Rogue medium...I kept it in the list because this was initially what started it all

It seems as I have already made my decission, but I still very much like to hear your thoughts.
Many Many thanks again for just being absolutely amazing.
PS: To answer to some of your suggestions:
1. I have too many casual bags which are not appropriate for formal occasions. So I'm in desperate need for a classic looking bag.
2. I do not consider the resale value as one of the criteria, but still have that in mind.
3. I will indeed see them in person this weekend and I have to wait till next month to be able to purchase it, so I'm not in a rush.
4. Im based in UAE, and our Coach outlet does not provide the personalizing service or made to order.
5. I do not own any black or white bag for your reference.
6. I love mini bags and I find them complimenting my style and figure.
Congratulations on getting control of your depression. Stay strong.Lovelies:
In celebration or finally being happy and having my depression under control, I'm planning to treat myself to a new handbag. I work full time, spend most of the day out and head to the gym right after I leave the office. I'm in love with colors and never settle down for black (I actually do not have a black bag). My favorite bag is my lovely Proenza Schouler PS1 in Royal blue. I'm petite and short and inexperienced with structured bags as I parted away with my Prada Lux tote shortly after I got it (was too boxy) and I still cannot force myself in using my Cambridge Satchel for the same reason.
Now with specific budget in mind, I have finalized the followings:
1. Coach Rogue - Steel Blue (Brand new)
2. Celine Luggage Tote - Dune (Preloved)
3. YSL Sac de jour - Burgundy (Preloved)
4. YSL Sac de jour - Nano size, Royal Blue (Preloved)
I love love love the celine but I don't know how I feel about the color and I have made the mistake of buying a bag because I l loved the design but hated the color and now its sitting in my closet. I have no idea what to think about the YSL ones, I love their classic look but I'm just not sure, on the other hand, I do not know how stiff and structured it can be. I love everything about Coach, it's just that I never ever considered buying a bag from this brand and with the new designer team and all the changes, I've found myself quite liking it. It is the price that really makes me consider other options as I can purchase designer brands (although preloved) but high end nonetheless with the same amount.
Let me know what you think? Thank you in advance.

Good job Ladan Mrss!I truly appreciate your efforts and repliesIt is very refreshing how I can talk about bags and not get "rolling eyes" in return
so THANK YOU
I visited one of the main shopping malls that have all the designers under one roof and came back home even more confused. My first stop was Celine, I wanted to see the color Dune in person and was pleasantly surprised to find out that it has a very rich grey undertone, almost khaki? hard to explain but very very lovely. The problem is that the seller is not aware of the color and she said "off white"...don't know what that means? help?! I love this designer but the micro size was always the one I would dream about, the nano size was simple and beautiful, with a very long shoulder strap. I liked it, it's safe.
I went to Harvey Nichols next (used to worked here_UK_ when I was a Uni student). Stopped by Balenciaga and the mini city bags to my horror looked absolutely hideous ob my body. Tried the Coach Rogue again, unfortunately the SA had already left!! and I couldn't ask for the Olive one. Beautiful but not enough to justify the price, not for Coach, IN MY OPINION, don't kill me
. I just feel the smaller size does not feel right on my body, does not come with cross-body strap and yes I know I can attach them together but wouldn't that be painful? The medium size jut too big for me as a formal, classic, dainty and business meeting time worthy bag and small does not sparkle. I really really wish they would have the suede lining for the zipper compartment, hate the fabric.
I checked Gucci, Lya Lya, Alexander Mcqueen (liked the mini Heroine ones, so cute) and Givenchy (some other time maybe) and finally headed over Saint Laurent. I absolutely loved everything aboud Sac de Jour, tried Nano, Baby and Small and liked them all the same. The Nano was similar to Gucci soho, Celine Nano Luggage and I want to say bigger and definitely more spacious than YSL Blogger bag. The small size is definitly a medium/large quite similar to Prada Lux Tote but lighter and less structured due to round corners.
So, I think I will go for YSL SDJ nano in royal blue with gold hardware, but I would be trilled to read your suggestions and comments.
