Has anyone else had this happen to their BF bag? The "Hermes Paris Made in France" imprint stamp is wearing away and I can barely see it now, even with with contrast lighting. Is this normal? I got the barenia faubourg precisely because I wanted to avoid the silver/gold foil from wearing away. Very upset.

I tried to take photos with my phone, but it's so faint that it's not picking up. I only see it in person but even then I have to be really close and shine a light on it. Can you see yours?

Not sure if has to do with me rubbing out a scratch in that area, but only did so lightly and for a few seconds.

I misread the meaning of your post
did you mean that you chose barenia faubourg because it is not foil stamped and therefore
would never wear away?

or is ths a bag of dubious origin?

Yes that's correct. I chose this because it's a blind stamp not a foil stamp, so I assumed since it's a blind stamp, it will never wear away since it's literally imprinted on the leather.

I know it doesn't have a foil stamp. That is why I chose BF, because it's a blind stamp, rather than a foil stamp, so I assumed it would last longer than a foil stamp

Please....clarify. The stamp isn't deep enough? Maybe this is a question for the Barenia Faubourg thread?

As what has been said by @WhiteBus, it is blind-stamp for barenia and BF bags in any colour. See my avatar - my BF B30 is in ebene too.
+1 with @WKN and @WhiteBus. I have owned smooth barenia in fauve, ebene, and noir, but it was my understanding from reading TPF threads that the heat stamp for both B and BF are embossed (so that they stand out in relief) in a relatively deep imprint. If this is a secondary market bag, perhaps you might consider contacting @bababebi for her opinion in case the leather was misidentified

ETA: I just saw that you are directed to the BF thread by @etoile de mer and others! Good luck!
