I wasn't declined, per se. I was just surprised that they said it isn't always guaranteed that you get something. I was quite taken aback by that...

Ok I had already been through that link - no particular area for SO's there and I'm a newbie to the SO, not to H bags since I have a few...

Thanks though - will have to read it again...

Well Hermes is Hermes :)

You'll see threads here where someone was declined an SO at FSH in the AM and then accepted in the PM by a different SA...

And even if you are offered and SO, that exact combination has to be approved as well. Anyway, good luck. Hope to make an SO someday myself :)

In most stores around the world, SOs are offered to VVIPs or to extremely good customers of the store. They aren't usually open to normal customers (I would probably never get offered an SO at my home store) and are usually by-invite only. Most combinations would definitely go through, unless it is really not feasible (lack of skins etc)

FSH works differently - what works there doesn't work all the time and doesn't work everywhere.

When I was in FSH two weeks ago placing an SO for Birkin 35, my SA told me that chevre is now closed for SO and so is ostrich. Vachee Liagee is discontinued. Options available for me are togo, clemence and epsom. I did not bother to ask for box as did not want one in this particular color I SO-ed. Hope this helps.
