Very beautiful and intricate setting - can't wait to see the changes you made. I think the only way to know what is the right band is to wait until the ring is on your finger and you try different styles.
when it is right you will know immediately. How big will your center stone be?

I think a prong-set half eternity band would look great especially since you like a gap (I do too). with the ornate nature of your ring, you could also choose an ornately engraved gold band. you might even want to try on a bezel-set half or full eternity to see how that looks...it matches the side-set stones (on the sides of the shank).

here are some bezel-set bands:

the possibilities are endless...

Thanks frick & frack! Those are great threads to give me ideas! I loved the ritani one that you said is your favorite too! I just got a message from my jeweler that Verragio (designer of my ring) is making a new line of bands that keep the scroll on the ring (the profile) on the wedding band as well. I might just hold off and wear my non-matching band until that happens... we will see if I can wait that long!

^I LOVE the scroll design on your ring! I bet the band will be gorgeous. I'd be cautious myself about being too "matchy matchy" which I don't like in a wedding set (just my personal preference).

please keep us updated. I will keep checking back.

so happy you liked the one I liked best. it's a departure, but I think it might look very cool with your new e-ring. can't wait to see what you choose!

^ wow, you are completely right. I actually dont care for matching sets. Its so easy to lose initial sight of what you want when everything sparkles so much! That is why I like to get advice, keeps my head where it should be and don't get something just because its pretty!

I will probably go picture crazy at the jewelers when I pick it up (if they let me) and post to get opinions. I should not spend money on a band after a while, so getting everyones advice and suggestions will keep me from acting on impulse and spending my money on something I shouldn't.

Thanks so much for your help!

happy to! I promise I will give you my honest opinion, in a polite way. :amuse:

I have to tell you though, I honestly believe that you can't go wrong. you are being very smart about your decision.

Personally I would go with a matching one, custom or not. You can also consider ordering it stock, and getting a custom PLAIN band made to deal with the curve to eliminate the gap. A thin 1ish MM plain band with a cut out. That would keep the stones from rubbing if there were any exposures and allow you to not have to completely customize a diamond band. Plain is cheaper even if custom. It would have a cutout on one side and flat on the other.

Thanks ame, that actually sounds like a good suggestion, adding a plain cut out, so there is some separation, its not super matchy-matchy but still match. I have never heard of what you are talking about, do you know where I could see images of something like that?

The only one I can think of is Researcher's Set. She is a poster on Pricescope. Search for her (researcher) and her's should come up.
I believe on one "side" it dips in, and the other is straight, so like a dent or sometihng to fit around her e-ring head.

I wear a plain band between my half-eternity and my e-ring so that they don't eat each other, even though my e-ring is a plain setting.

The final cad cam image is here!!! It will be four more weeks to get it! I went to my jeweler and looked at some awesome bands! I will see what it needs when I get the actual ring. As the similar one to it, the band can go below the diamond and sit flush, it was not a good comparison.

Thanks for the help. I see that I will probably need a spacer, so the diamonds don't damage each other. Ill probably start with a plain band then later add more diamonds if I feel the need.

I would go with either the pave eternity band or a band similar to the one in the original pic. I would *not* have it fitted to your stone, because I like the gap and movement as some of the other posters have mentioned. You could do a plain thin band, but I think this engagement ring has a lot of bling to sit next to a simple band...but it might look fabulous! Just make sure your band has similar stone shapes/sizes and settings to your e-ring and you will be fine.
