My upgrade isn't even in yet, but I am already thinking about what my band will be. I my old band is very thin, so I feel like if I want it to be visible at all, I will have to get a new band. What would you recommend with this ring? It will be slightly different, as I customized it some, but pretty similar. No budget into consideration, as I am looking for the perfect thing, I will wait until we can afford it, if its right.

Gorgeous!!

Do you not like the type of band shown with it?

Thanks for the reply! If I got that, it would have to be custom, since the stone is so big, it would need to taper out in the center. It would have to be another custom piece and it would cost around $3000, which I don't think its worth it, for a tiny band with around half a ct. of diamonds.

I like gaps too . . . but that ring is not basic/plain. I'd personally skip a band altogether or have one custom made like the pic shown.

Thanks for all the suggestions! I don't think I would like to do the band-less thing, I would if I was a bit older, but being 24 and a newly wed. I like to show that I am indeed married already, not just engaged. My MIL suggested the no band thing or a thin plain white-gold band.

I have a gap between my e-ring and band and I like it that way. My e-ring has bead set diamonds so i just got a bead set band to match, they're not identical since they came from different jewelers but it's pretty close. Personally I prefer the look of a gap to a curved band that sits flush, but that's just me. For you I would recommend buying a band with the same setting of stones, just don't bother with getting a custom tapered one.
