Winner. Id be curious what the diameter is but it's not a big deal.

Selected: 62.2% depth, 55% table, 35.3° crown angle, 40.5° pavilion angle
The result is for a symmetrical diamond with a medium girdle and very good polish

Thank you so much for your votes ladies! Looks like #2 is the big winner. But should I be concerned that is not ex/ex/ex?

Don't know how to update the poll since my SA made a mistake at begining.

Have you seen #2 in person yet? Do you think it has a lot of sparkle or light reflecting back to you compared to the other two diamonds? Just curious. It's the first time I heard of an HCA report. My diamond is not ex/ex/ex either, but it's rated "Excellent" in HCA (1.4 score...I just plug in the numbers last night http://www.pricescope.com/tools/hca/). Very strange. Although, I have to say, people seem to see this diamond from far away. I didn't select it, the DH did - he surprised me with it when he proposed.

These are all wonderful sizes (2ct+)! Enjoy your selection!!

Hi OP, did you get a chance to see #2? Just wanted to see if the HCA report is right. :smile1: You may need to take the ring outside close to natural light to see the differences among the three for sure...if Tiffany's will let you. They usually do.

Hi eyecandy, sorry for replying late. I am sure you have a beautiful diamond ring!

No, we haven't gotten chance to see #2 in person yet. There is a waitlist for it, but it's currently being transferred to the location we will purchase from. Hopefully this weekend. My sa also contacted NY, saying they might have triple excellent 2c stones being released that fit our requirements. So I don't know I should wait for them or not. She will have an update later this wek.

Will post an update when we see it. The diamond shopping is harder than we thought!

No problem. You are very welcome! :amuse: I had to learn this the hard way especially with colored stones. In the store, this ruby ring was bright red. I took it outside, and it was pinkish-purple (a good one should be red; but then again those are rare). Then there was this diamond that was sparkly in the store. I took it out only to find out it was cloudy inside and faintly yellow. Natural light does bring out the true feature of things.

I hope you get to see diamond #2! If you receive the specs on the other stones, do plug it in the HCA link and let us know if it's accurate. We'd love to know.

You might not be allowed to see it in 'natural light' so be prepared for that. If you can't go near a window to outside that won't work so well. They won't let you go outside.

I would see if there's a chance to see the 2c and #2 all at once. So that you can go with #2 if you don't like the others.
