...AND the sale seems to be over 😞. Very disappointing, too few items and just for a short period of time. And possibly the last time?

The prices seem to have reverted to full price....I didn't see anything half as interesting as in the US sales 
I have also noticed that sites like Harrods and Selfridges have reduced their offering of Gucci items since last week. There was a Sylvie in green which I had never seen before and was going to mention but it has vanished from the site now.
Perhaps, its the retailers gearing up for their upcoming sales?

YES. It is on again and I managed to get two pair of shoes. Those were not showing up now, but I was able to order from the still open browser tabs (I refreshed them to see whether the price changed back to sale). Had to place two orders though.

Selection has been severely limited for many seasons and I'm sad for those of you that were disappointed but I've said for years time and time again, everything with Gucci is in limited supply. if you really, really want something buy it and don't even wait for the sale.
If there's something wanted that may have been your last chance, call a store (any store) and ask them to do a transfer. They can say no, and the other store can refuse but it never hurts to ask.
Michele and Gucci CEO Marco Bizzarri may change everything including Gucci's MO, we don't even know if Gucci will keep their outlets or ever hold sales again but one thing's for sure, if you like something that was designed under Frida directorship better get it ASAP

Oh, agree to all the above, Papertiger. It's just so nice to snag a beautiful scarf at half price from Gucci - so that one has already saved up for half of an Hermes scarf
