I don't use any Coach covers for mine since I like the original color showing ,so I opted for just a clear back cover that isn't bulky and a Zagg shield front cover. For extra protection (since phone is in my bag mostly) , I purchased the Coach saffiano universal case #64976. This works great for me to have with me all the time since I can use it to run in places that I don't want to carry my purse around and really is light weight when in my bag. Fits 5s perfectly.

That's very pretty!

I'm here to tell you, the leather Bleecker covers will protect a phone, and I am HARD on my iPhone. I got out of my car one day, phone was on my lap, it dropped to the driveway, where my foot says naturally going down. Yes, then my foot stepped on to my iPhone in the Coach Bleecker case, FACE DOWN, and my foot slid a little, as I realized what I was doing, across the cement driveway. I was scared to freaking death to pick up my phone.

Please excuse the horrible pics with my iPad. I literally keep these in multiples now when I find them at the outlets. I think this is the first one but this would have been well after the drop/step because I didn't replace it right away. I honestly think the green case was the drop/step case, next pic....

In current case, you can see where it's been dropped and I've scratched the
Rather away on one corner. And it's picked up denim transfer from going in and out of my jeans pocket.

Sorry for the number of pictures, but DH and I both have these cases. He's had the same case since he got his first one but he's more careful than I am. One other thing he loves about these cases is the inside material is like a very soft corduroy, so if dirt or grit gets trapped between your case and your phone, it won't scratch your phone. That drives him nuts because he feels like it you pay $X to buy a case and then it causes scratches, even on the backside case, it's not right.
I cannot attest to the signature or legacy or plastic cases. Only these. I have three more in my drawer waiting for their day in the sun.... LOL

Thanks for all the pics, and I am also looking for a case for DH so good to know that your husband likes the bleeckers

I have this one but it's not on the coach site anymore

It's that kind of silicone-flexy material and really cute. I tend to like thinner covers that just protect my phone from scratches.

I did buy one of the saffiano leather covers in acid green like this one

but it was all wrinkly at the bottom, and I exchanged it for the black/white one

I picked this one up last week at Lord and Taylor last week and while it's adorable, I don't think it'd be much protection. Best for the 5s is an Otter Box, Life Proof or something along those lines. From what I've read, the aluminum body on the 5s is thin and fragile. Extra protection or a death grip required. :)

I have two coach cases and love them. They are the soft cases.. And cover the entire edge of the phone..

Designer cases of course looks cute, heck I chose an iPhone with my upgrade vs an android bc there are so many more designer choices! However, my ds takes my phone a lot and I need something durable so it doesn't get destroyed by him so I have an otterbox.
I do wish otterbox had a designer selection!!

I've been lookin at otterbox because there have been so many recommendations for them and I think that there are some nice colors and patterns in the 5s Symmetry series, and some new designs are due out soon:

The front of the case..

thanks for all the advice and pics. I love the look of the designer cases but I once had an ipad mini knocked out of my hands and smashed so I also want protection. I am leaning toward the Otterbox Symmetry series. They seem sturdy but slim and also come in some nice colors and patterns.

I had an otterbox on my iPhone, which offered great protection against drops. However, I noticed that the power button on the top right of my phone started sticking & eventually it stopped working. After a little research, I found out that other otterbox users had the same problem, as the otterbox case lets dirt settle into the crevices near that button. After removing the otterbox & cleaning the button, it was functional again. Now I use a hard coach case & a screen protector. I've dropped my phone a few times, and it's still fine!

Thanks for the tip about the otterbox button. I intend to use a screen protector, I learned that one the hard way when my mini ipad was damaged!

Make sure you buy apple care for the phone! It's so much cheaper to replace ($79 vs $249) if something happens to the phone. If you or anyone else looking for an otterbox alternative I currently use the Case-Mate Tough Extreme, I have one of custom ones for the 5S without the covering on the home button, not the stock one at the link below. I do have a couple of Coach ones, and I'm usually very careful with my phone, but after my phone somehow jumped out of purse and onto the ground smashing my screen I decided to upgrade my protection.

The Tough Extreme is on sale, because they're clearing old stock and changing the bottom panel to accommodate Touch ID on the iphone 5S

Cute, thanks! Yes, we bought the protection package. I was able to replace my ipad mini for $50!
