I can comment on Chanel ballet flats. For me, they work. They are comfy & I can walk with ease long distances.
I have them in several colorways& truthfully they wear well & work in my lifestyle.
I have Tod's driving style & they are also super comfy.
I also have a couple of pair of Repetto's but I don't wear them for all day wear.Just a few hours

I realize this is an old thread, but my favourites are Repetto. The key is to order at least 1.5 sizes up. I am an 8 in U.S., 38.5 in most designer shoes and a 39.5 in Repetto. I have a few pairs and they are by far my favourites. I also own Chanel ballet flats, but these are not as comfortable to me. I have never owned Tods, and Lanvin appears to have discontinued their flats.

Hi!

I have been thinking about this for weeks and still can't make a decision until now. I'm looking for a pair of black classic ballet flats that are comfortable to walk in and would last for a long time. Can you recommend me which shoes I should buy; Repetto, Chanel, Tods or French Sole?

TIA!
Repetto and Tods are great for everyday use and they are super comfortable and can durable.
Chanel , not for everyday.
French Sole ,never tried them.

Have worn all and personally find that FS do not have enough padding for me. Love PB which fit fuller since they’re Spanish and really like their pointy toe ballets and color blocks. Also love Tory Burch Revas and Arche (incredibly comfy) ballets but probably own more Prada ballets. I only find the Prada rubber sole ones truly comfy and have come to terms with the fact that they’re Asian outsourced.

I have or had flats by all of the brands you mention and would recommend Chanel or Tod’s with a slight preference towards Chanel as the ballet flats are such a classic style. Now, in the interest of full disclosure - I only own Tod’s driving shoes and structured loafer style flats and can’t really comment on their ballet flats (a lot of their styles are elasticated and I find that very uncomfortable).

Repetto are slightly better than French Sole but I have give up both as they did feel like you were pounding the pavements with your bare feet and the lack of arch support brought me really close to getting bunions - so neither brand gets my vote
