Has anyone ordered anything from this website? http://www.leatherworldtech.com/default.asp

I have a white leather bag with ink marks. I'm wondering if this would work? http://www.leatherworldtech.com/Leather-Master-Ink-Killer-p/013201250.htm

Some of the info on that website says the color will be removed when removing the ink stain, but then there's another product which can be applied to move the color around to cover the area where the color was removed.

HAS ANYONE TRIED ANY OF THE PRODUCTS FROM http://www.leatherworldtech.com/default.asp

I want to place an order, but first want to check here..... any feedback will be appreciated.... :-)

My order of products from Leather World Tech arrived today... my first project is removing ink from a white leather Miu Miu bag..... I'll post images once it's completed... If the color comes out, I've decided to have the bag refinished. Keeping my fingers crossed. I ordered 5 products all for different leather care issues..... :-)

If the ink is water-based, a warm water and a regular laundry detergent will do the work. But for more stubborn stains, ink remover is needed. Use a microfibre cloth to remove excess liquid, then apply rubbing alcohol or an aerosol hairspray to the stain. Then wash it with a regular detergent until the stain is removed, and air dry. You can also get a professional care for more assurance of the quality of your bag.

Things You’ll Need:

Leather Master brand Leather Cleaner
Shampoos For Normal Hair
Cotton Swabs
Soft Cloth
Step 1:
Work on removing the stain as soon as you discover it. Dried ink is especially difficult to get out, unless you act quickly.

Step 2:
Blot the stain with a soft dry cloth or cotton ball.

Step 3:
Moisten another cloth and clean lightly with circular movements. Dry the surface with a soft cloth.

Step 4:
Try a little saddle soap or another leather cleaner, but first read the label regarding its safety for use on your particular kind of leather. You may also try removing the stain with lukewarm water and shampoo
Hope i helped
Andy

My remedy to remove pen ink and stains which was being transfer to my Gucci bag would be Darlie toothpaste and Colgate toothpaste. I had tried it on my bag and it looks as good as new.

First use a good cloth, damp it and apply either one of the toothpaste on cloth and *go in circle* on the stain and you will the the patch darken. Fear not.. cause its wet.. after that, use water and sort of rub / massage over the stain also in circle movement. Then hang to dry, PLEASE dry the bag after that otherwise it will get moudly.

Thank you for your message. I decided to send my bag to the handbag clinic in the UK - I found recommendations here for the place so hopefully they will be able to remove the stain. I will upload before and after photographs when I get my bag back at the end of this month. Fingers crossed :sweatdrop:

So how did it go?

I have a white Coach bag that I have not tried to clean yet. It will need it soon. Nervous.:sweatdrop:

I "ruined" a pair of ivory colored Frye boots with a water spot last summer. (Bottle of saline solution leaked out on the shaft) I was so upset with myself... I wrote them off and tossed them in the washing machine. Much to my surprise it worked.

Hi chambersb,

Apologies for not replying with an update. The handbag clinic successfully removed the stain - I even have trouble remembering which side of the bag the pen mark was on :p I found the person I dealt with very professional - he asked to see photos of the stain and then gave me an estimate (it worked out at less than €80). From the time I posted the bag to the clinic it took around 6 weeks to get it returned. Here's their website http://www.handbagclinic.co.uk/

Good luck with your Coach bag :smile1:

Hi all, my mum has (very, very kindly) passed me her oak Mulberry Bayswater on permanent loan & I have managed to get a Bic biro ink stain on the raw leather on the inside of the top flap. So it's hidden but is obvious when I mopen the bag.
What advice does anyone have please for removing/minimising the ink stain on that raw/suede side of the top flap?
Thanks.

Maybe you could get a suede cleaner & test it on a tiny part to make sure that you don't just spread the ink around & make it worse. You should try to clean it soon, as ink is a dye & is of course meant to stain and the longer it's on a surface, the more permanent it is. You might also try a dry cleaner that specializes in leather/suede.

Good luck!

Hi, I'm really sorry about the pen mark. What pen do you think it is? I know a tPFer here removed most of makeup-stains inside a LV pouch with makeup-remover pads/wipes.

If it's an ink-pen mark lifting the mark with a q-tip (a little hairspray on the q-tip) could work.

But I'd first see if the pen mark is just on the surface before trying any wet removing.

Hope you can remove the mark.
hairspray does wonders with all sorts of pen marks, even sharpies :D
