HELP! Post lost return package to Neiman Marcus. Will file lost package claim w/ USPS.

UPDATE!! A happy one

So I was just going to write this off, but I figured it would be worth it to call NM again to ask for either store credit or a refund in any amount. I didn't have high hopes because my return label was never scanned, but THEY GAVE ME A FULL REFUND! I am beyond grateful!

But lesson learned: Always always insure your packages.

UPS gave me a receipt. They didn't give you a receipt?

If you at least had a receipt that it had been shipped perhaps NM would at least give you a credit or something. So sorry this happened.

Mine was a USPS smart label, and no they didn't give me a receipt. I even asked them if I needed one, and they said no. I will definitely insist on one from now on! NM more than generously gave me a refund though. Thank goodness!!

Good that NM was able to refund even though the package was never scanned. I think it's safe to use the smart label provided by your merchant for return, but lesson learned: always get a receipt from the post office. As long as you have proof that you did drop off the package at the post office, the merchant will have to eat up the cost and refund you even if they never got the package. It shouldn't be the customer eating up the cost and we also shouldn't need to buy extra insurance if we are using the return label the merchant provided.

I think the same thing happened to me! Dropped off my return at usps using NM smart label yesterday, STILL no tracking info updated yet! The only thing showed online is Label Created, not yet in system. Went to usps just now, they said there's nothing they can do about it```So stressful !
