HI!

I lost my beloved wedding band on Thanksgiving and have finally decided it's time to get a new one.

I've looked at LOTS of rings and nothing has really spoken to me until I stumbled across a custom band that I LOVE on Etsy. I've been in touch with artist/jeweler/seller. She's been very happy to answer all of my questions. But, here's my question for you:

The diamonds/melee will be G color, VS clarity and full cut.

Is that good? Will that be sparkly? I really want my ring to be sparkly. It's kind of nerve-racking to buy a ring unseen! Any input you have would be greatly appreciated.

I've uploaded a picture of the ring. Also a picture of the ring with the small pave band I'd like to get. THANK YOU!

I'm no expert, but my platinum micropave wedding band has G-H VS2 melee and it's very sparkly. Of course you can't really expect them to sparkle like a full-sized diamond, but they add a great amount of sparkle to an otherwise plain band. The thing with tiny diamonds is, they seem to twinkle no matter what. Only when they're cloudy and white-looking do they not twinkle. I think most melee is VS2, SI-ish, but I could be wrong.

Here's a photo of my wedding set. Honestly, I think those diamonds in your posted photos look pretty good but the expert ladies here might have a different opinion :smile1:

I do love the brushed gold with the diamonds. Gorgeous! Have you asked her about her return policy at all?

See if the vendor can send you a sample ring to check the quality or that you can return yours if you're not happy. I recently did this with Zina Tahiri on Etsy and it was easy enough.

Well, it's pretty in photos but you'd need to know the cut quality of the melee. The closer-up shot of the wider band is better than the first photo, though I don't know that it's a fair visual to the melee quality. Just because they're stated as G VS doesn't mean they're good quality though. If the return policy is a full refund, that might be worth a look. If the melee is well cut, it will sparkle very well, just like a larger stone, just smaller :)

I haven't purchased any diamond jewelry through Etsy simply because I don't know the quality of the materials, and there's no reputation there, and the only jeweler I know of on that site is Adam Foster because he's local to me here, and I've met him in person. His work is amazing.

I love Etsy and just checked out his page. He has beautiful items. I added him to my fav list, it can be hard to find what your looking for on Etsy sometimes just because it has gotten so huge.

I have bought jewelry on Etsy-gold bangle for my sister in law and I was thrilled with the quality. OP, I would just make sure there is a good return policy and see the item with your own eyes. Let us know how it turns out, I am interested to see what type of quality the diamonds are also.

Thank you, Ame! I'm going to check out her return policy. Probably look around locally this weekend. I really love the look of this ring and having communicated with the seller/artist/jeweler, if I don't find anything else this weekend, I may just bite the bullet.

I agree! Adam Foster's jewelry is beautiful. Going to check out the return policy. Thank you so much for your reply, NikkisABagGirl.

When I went to his shop I was surprised how small his "showroom" area was, but that's because he mostly does custom work to order. What I saw in person was INCREDIBLE though. He works at ridiculously high magnification, which I immensely appreciate. He can do really nice micropave work as well, from what I saw of past work.
