Hi All

Just purchased my first JUC bracelet and ring in YG and I’m wondering if I made the right decision…

Usually I wear WG and most of my jewellery is in WG or Platinum.

I went with YG JUC because I wondered if WG without diamonds might took too plain, but my husband recons YG looks too bright and weird with my watch and my engagement/wedding rings.

what are your thoughts? I also wear a lot of H coloured bangles and 99% of them are with a palladium clasp. I was planning to wear my JUC with my H bracelets, or on its own.

Here are some photos of both YG and WG version I took in store.
many thanks for your help!

I actually think WG looks so nice against your skin tone. And definitely doesn’t look plain w/o diamonds. Very chic!
You think? It’s not too much of a “stainless steel” bangle look there? Do you recon WG without diamonds still looks like precious jewellery? It’s so hard as everyone I see/know seems to choose YG and WG seems like an unpopular version

I get you on the stainless steel effect; however I think it all boils down to what you’re comfy with.

I for one feel hard to convince myself to mixing metal (I’m generally into YG, a little PG, and hardly WG) because I think WG doesn’t go well with my skin tone as compared to YG. Rings maybe yes. Bracelet, not really.

You can go back to store again and try the YG. I think it’s normal to have a little buyer remorse. Sometimes it takes awhile to settle that feeling. Nothing wrong and enjoy the process :)

Do you like to mix metals? For me personally, I like mixing metals, so my rings are all WG or platinum, but I wear RG Love, RG JUC, and RG VCA sweet.

If the mixed metals is going to bother you, I'd stick with the WG. Both metals look great on you, so it's really a matter of what you like best.

I already purchased the YG ring and bracelet… just deciding whether or not to exchange. I absolutely love the bracelet, just don’t know if I’m happy to wear YG every day… it’s such a shame Cartier doesn’t do JUC in WG with diamonds in small size

I don’t mind it, but just tried it on and can’t help but feel it looks a bit weird? No?
…but by the same token, would WG blend in too much?

I am loving white gold on you! It pops! That is not to say you cannot wear yellow gold. Are you thinking you may want to branch out into a different gold? I think there is nothing wrong with branching out and many people also mix metals. I actually LOVE mixing white gold with rose gold, and to be honest I find mixed layerings and stacks (in your case it would be white and yellow) more visually interesting than most all-one-type metal looks. Yes, there is something seamless about a one metal look, but often the eye becomes bored unless textures and different shapes are added into it.

I feel I am rambling here but I think you should decide: 1) if you are thinking you want to branch out into a different gold (being yellow), 2) you are ok with mixing metals (or if not, then you are ok wearing the yellow pieces solo until you acquire more) and 3) if you are looking to build on to what you already have to create an all white look.

BTW I do not think it looks any more industrial in white. Its a more industrial design regardless of what metal it is in when compared to other designs and that is exactly its charm. If you felt this white gold version of the JUC is more industrial than you might like, you consider the white JUC with diamond head and tail? It softens the look a bit more and personally I love it. Also, wg is finally having a resurgence and I am hearing more and more often about how people moving beyond just buying yellow. Honestly though, go with what works for you. Trends come and go but no metal is ever "out of style" so there is no wrong answer.

I used to only wear white/platinum but I prefer mixing now. It’s a great time to add YG to your collection imo! It’s flattering in your skin tone as well.
My left hand wears platinum wedding ring and a SS Rolex, once in a while a YG ring on index finger.
My right hand used to only wear a sm WG Love with diamonds, then we added a regular YG Love with diamonds and a small YG Juc with diamonds and I wear a WG pavé Love and add YG rings to index finger most days.
I love the versatility of wearing both golds.
