ROFL! On "fashion hell"!!! Unfortunately, I live in "fashion backwater" so I could carry a ziplock bag painted in fingernail polish and no one would notice. But that also means I get zero inspiration from others and I have to shop when I travel. 😢 I like the Pashli but the zippers plus the metallic made it a little busier than I wanted. I think your fuchsia would be gorgeous!

I really like this bag! It was on my original consideration list but I wasn't sure about color. Is it more pewter or true silver?

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Dior but the price is too high for what I want to spend on this bag right now.

Here is where I am on this so far. The pictures, input and soul searching helped me realize that for right now I want a bag I can wear in non professional settings. That will allow this bag have a little "edge." With that...

I decided that I love the Sac du Jour but don't want it in silver. I plan to "save" that bag for a different color and in a slightly larger size. Perhaps a navy or burgundy that I can wear professionally and nice casual.

I bought the Givenchy Antigona. It's gorgeous. I'm just not sure it's $1600 gorgeous. LOL! So I'm thinking about it during my return period.

I think I may have to satisfy this need with two bags. One in silver that is has defined construction and is a teeny bit more "dressy". The other in silver or pewter that is unconstructed, more edgy and casual.

I know for some of you the idea of owning one silver bag (let alone TWO!) is crazy. But my silver bag will get a lot of wear and is very much needed in my wardrobe. 😀 So please keep the suggestions coming. They are so helpful!!!

Sooooo...I'm pulling my hair out. This should be simple but it's become a circus of shiny bags.

The Givenchy is going back. It just isn't beautiful enough in the silver. I should love the bag and I'm so so on the bag. I'm actually kicking myself that I didn't buy the Antigona in the medium size tri color brown / beige / taupe when I saw it on sale at Saks. It was GORGEOUS in those colors. In the silver...not as much.

So I'm still in the hunt. 😢

What about the micro Lady Dior in silver perforated Cannage leather?

It is priced lower than a lot of other Dior bags due to its size, which is closer to your budget. I'm not sure if it will fit everything you normally put into your bag, but it will keep your essentials like your phone, small wallet, and a bit of make-up.

This colour also comes in the larger Lady Dior sizes but those are at least double the budget that you mentioned.

I think this perforated Cannage is the perfect silver for a handbag. It's shiny and mirror-like without going over-the-top.

Funny you should mention this bag. I live in the U.S. Midwest. There are no Dior stores near me. So when I went to Las Vegas in July I made a beeline to the Dior store intending to buy the larger version of this bag. The SA told me they were sold out and wouldn't get any more. So if you know where one is hiding, please PM me!

Hurray!!! I have found a silver handbag that I LOOOOOOVE!! 😍😍😍😍😍😍

This has been a journey!!!

After
• dying because the mini perforated Dior was sold out when I went to the Dior store
• lusting over the mini Sac du Jour but deciding I really wanted that bag in a larger size and a different color
• getting frustrated that I couldn't find a silver metallic medium classic flap Chanel which I would have felt was "worth" the price
• buying and returning both the Givenchy Antigona (pretty but didn't make my heart sing) and a pre loved Lanvin shoulder bag (nice but didn't stay closed when full
• selling off a bag I knew I'd never keep but bought to fill the interim gap, a Kate Spade Gold Coast
AND getting wonderful suggestions from my TPF'rs....

I have found my perfect bag! A small lambskin Miu Miu Matalasse convertible tote! This bag is scrumptious.

Because the lambskin is delicate, I'll probably still buy another silver handbag in a durable calf skin. (I'm still eyeballing the Ralph Lauren & Alexander Wang bags that TPF'rs showed above) But I'm absolutely in love with this bag!
