I've been saving and downsizing my wardrobe to save up for my next rolex! I've narrowed down to between the SS/YG daytona and SS Yachtmaster (with platinum bezel/dial), both 40mm, the price difference is around 4k.

I've always wanted a daytona in SS, but the waiting time is driving me crazy, and I'm now seriously thinking about settling for the two tone one. I currently have a Mid-size SS datejust in diamond/black dial, a 38mm white J12 with diamond markers, a 38mm white J12 with diamond markers, and a Cartier SS ladies Roadster.

I'm torn....Please help!!!:hugs:

I found some pictures of the two watches (from the Rolex Forum)....for your reference.

If you get the Yachtmaster now, will you be getting the SS Daytona in the future when it becomes available?

If you will be getting a SS Daytona in the future, then I would go with the Yachtmaster now (if you have a burning need for a new watch :D)

However, if the Yachtmaster is going to replace a Daytona, I would say get the two-tone Daytona because I personally adore Daytonas!!!

hmm...i'm not too sure. I showed the pictures to DF, he said the Yachtmaster looks a bit hip and young and the two tone Daytona is quite mature. I was thinking if i need another young-looking watch, as I already have two J12s. On the other hand, I'm not too sure if I can pull this Daytona off, as its quite "in your face"...if you know what i mean.
