Help me to decide! Trendy Stella Mccartney bag or a classic Gucci bag?

Good point! I think denim bag can hold up quite well. The only problem I'm concerned that some denims tend to turn yellowish after use. I am fortunate enough to purchase bags to use just for one season and this would be my summer bag for the upcoming summer. I think denims look soooo good in summer season!

If that's the case, I think the SM would make a lovely spring/summer bag. As you say, the colours and the denim look perfect for summer. Much more fun than even a Gucci hiding in the closet

Anyway, you should probably be the one to advise me on bags instead, as I'm only restarting to put together just the basics of a bag collection for a grownup after years of Envirosax:s, SkipHops, Ramalamas and backpacks. But if I had all the basics covered (I really need a black Bal City and a little something in brown/cognac before I can say that) I would love to buy the occasional just for fun bag

I love my SM bags I have a few of them but I'm not a fan of the denim ones posted. I prefer their shaggy deer type fabric and one colour. They are great bags and hold up well but out of the Gucci and those posted I'd pick the Gucci.

If you are only planning on carrying the bag for the upcoming seasons (spring/summer) and don't care about it falling out of style soon after, then totally go for the denim flabella bag. It is a cute bag. I have never owned any SM outside the vegan leather bags, but I can attest that the SM bags I do own are excellent quality.

congrats on the order! I hesitated whether to get a Falabella for years and years, I finally got a second hand one because I wasn't sure I'd like it, and it's been hands down my most used bag the last three months. It's fantastic, and SO handy to use, it's the kind of bag you don't change out of because it's just convenient. I hope you like it

Congrats on ordering the Falabella!
I'm a big fan of Falabella bags. They are durable and great everyday bags. The Falabella was first introduced in 2010, and it's still going strong - so it's not trendy.

Hi everyone!! I need some help regarding my next bag...
While I love my Gucci Soho I rarely use it. I prefer to use my Alma BB and my Soho just sits in the closet. Now my friend wants to buy the Soho from me (I borrowed it to her and she loves it to the bits) but I am kinda hesitant. What if I will need it or like it in the future? It also seems to hold up its value very well so I could probably sell it in the future as well if I want to.
However a couple of days ago I stumbled across this beautiful Stella Mccartney small (or mini?) Falabella that I absolutely adore. I can't help but wonder if it's too trendy? After all denim and embroidered details are kind of a thing now so it might get dated really fast. Falabellas also don't seem to hold their value that well. But I absolutely love this bag! It seems the perfect to go tote and while I don't like faux-leather I could justify the price (around 800 euros) for a denim bag. The quality is another issue, while I know Gucci is durable I have no idea of Stella Mccartney. Should I sell the Gucci and get this one instead? I don't want to have bags around that I don't really use but on the other hand I don't want to get an "it" bag that will look dated after 3 months. What would you do?

I would choose the Flabella, the denim version looks very original, and I think it is cool to a have a peculiar bag in your wardrobe, for the Spring/Summer season!
Stella Mc Cartney is also one of the few ethical fashion designers on the market. I would choose her bag also for this reason ;)

I was going to vote that you sell the Gucci and wait for a bag that you'd love and that would have staying power. But based on your comment, the latter quality isn't important. So I'm glad you got the bag you love!

This thread is old and clearly the OP has already made her decision. I hope you enjoyed the bag this summer.

My personal opinion is that I love denim bags, but I will not pay Stella McCartney prices for them. I buy denim from Guess or other lower end brands for under $100 US.
