Hi ladies!

I found out on Friday that my boss has arranged for me to get a special bonus this coming month to recognise my work for him over the past year. I'll be getting an extra £1500 in my pay packet (just over $2300) but after taxes are deducted for I have worked out I will have approx £1100 to splash out on something new :graucho:

Soooo, I can't decide what to get! I have so many items on my wishlist at the moment and don't mind buying preloved providing it is mint. My current shortlist is:

1. Bvlgari B.Zero 1 Ring in YG. I need a statement YG ring - I currently have two diamond and diamond/emerald rings in YG settings, a platinum diamond eternity band, a Cartier Love wedding ring in RG and a Cartier Trinity ring. However, I predominantly wear YG and am looking for a ring that I can wear on a regular basis. I have found a mint preloved one at a good price from a reputable dealer so could also afford to buy a new LV.

2. Diamond hoops in 18k WG, 1.91 ct, VS/G. I can be a bit boring with earrings and normally wear diamond studs but I recently got some diamond huggies in YG and love them. The bigger hoops would be for more occasional wear but the ones I have seen are so sparkly, just gorgeous. These would cost me my entire budget and I would need to add a bit.

3. Tiffany & Co Enchant Flower Pendant in RG with diamonds. I have been lusting after this for ages and it could not only be bought new but the price is exactly my budget at £1000. I love pendants, especially rose gold.

Opinions or other suggestions welcome! I could save the money towards a larger purchase (am still saving for a Cartier Love bangle in YG) but I like the idea of using the money for one item to remember this job and my lovely boss by :smile1:

Oh lucky you! I vote for either the Bulgari ring or the diamond hoops. Those two have a lot of presence, the necklace, not so much. (IMO) let us know what you finally get!

I would pick either the bulgari b zero ring o the enchant pendant

have you tried both on?

I have tried the pendant on in Tiffany's but not the ring (yet). The pendant was absolutely gorgeous and of course it is Tiffany's so you can't really go wrong, but I have never bought anything from Bvlgari before and know I would get a lot of wear out of a YG ring like this. The pendant is so pretty but I'm not sure whether it would be an everyday piece? :thinkin:

Thanks - I do feel very lucky, I really wasn't expecting any sort of gift let alone this :smile1: He took me out for a fancy lunch on Friday too to say thank-you so I was over the moon.

Thanks for your opinion too about the ring and the hoops, it is so difficult to make a decision as they are all lovely! The greedy part of me likes the idea of buying the ring as well as a bag but there is something nice about buying just one jewellery item and having it as a memento. Of course DH thinks I should just get the ring and save the rest but what does he know! :p

I would pick the Bulgari, providing it looks gorgeous on your finger. It will be a great everyday piece.
OR... I would save up for the Love, giving it extra significance as you will always remember the bonus you worked so hard for.

Bvlgari ring - that looks beautiful, so as long as it fits, I'd go for that!

(And get the LV too :D)

Unfortunately, I think you've just contributed to my wish-list and I'm lusting over way too many things already :P

Thanks Monica, I like that idea of putting the money towards the Love - or I could do both, buy the ring and use the remaining £500ish as a nice lump sum towards my Love savings pot rather than buying the LV (which I was planning to get anyway soon). That would speed up my buying the Love considerably as I already have some money saved.

Oh dear, sorry to enable! ;) I know what you mean, I have been trying to cut down on my browsing of this forum as my wishlist otherwise seems to grow daily! Which piece are you tempted by, the ring? It is gorgeous! I have wanted one for ages so it seemed like fate when this turned up in my size (actually a size bigger but it is a wide ring and I would like the option of wearing it on my bigger middle finger if possible too).

the pendant is dainty and could be worn everyday. the bzero wears really well and doesn't scratch easy because of the raised edges of the band. one of my old clients as this ring and it does stand out!

Bulgari hands down!
How exciting!

Thanks hun - looks like the Bulgari is winning! :p

Such a hard decision - the pendant is lovely but very dainty, possibly a bit too dainty for the price T&Co are asking for it? I would also want to get the chain lengthened to 18 inches which would increase the price a little.

That's good to know that your client had the same ring and it looked good/doesn't scratch easily. The one I have found is in mint condition as new. Do you think it would look good teamed with a YG Love? The other ring I had considered for my 'everyday' YG ring is the Cartier Love ring but I wouldn't want to look too matchy matchy wearing them both together.

What a great news! I would get the bvlgari ring and save up the rest for LOVE in order to speed up and also you could beat the next price increase.

Thanks, I'm still so thrilled - forgetting about the actual money which is always nice to get, it means a lot to me to have this recognition. My boss is so lovely - the next one will have a lot to live up to! :smile1:

I think I am pretty much decided now on getting the ring and saving the rest of the money for a Love bangle. Hopefully it shouldn't take me too much longer as I intend to buy a preloved one. The price increases on the new ones are just insane!

Hi OBTM, I like Tiffany but I think you pay a lot for the name, (don't shoot me people, just MO,) don't get me wrong their pieces are undoubtedly gorgeous but you can get the same thing elsewhere for less money.

As you know I have the Love Bangle now and I am definately going to get the ring. Yes match, matchy but I intend to wear mine with a 2mm eternity ring either side of it so it won't be too matchy, matchy. IMO you will never regret the purchase of the love bangle, so with that in mind I would either get the ring and save the money for the bangle or just put it towards the bangle. These bangles are going skkkkkyy high in price, it's scary!! :smile1:
