I'm looking to buy a pre-owned bag for around $1500. I only have two luxury bags, a neverful and classic flap. I want a bag that will stand the test of time like these two. The rest of my bags are kate spade, Coach, Rebecca Minkoff, Michael Kors.

I've wanted an azur speedy 30 for a long time. But i don't like bags that I have to carry in my hand. If I got one, i think I wouldn't use it.

I'm considering a Gucci Dionysus or a locking G crossbody. I also like the YSL bags with the initials on the front (don't know what they are called).

As i don't buy luxury often, it's important to me that whatever i buy won't look dated soon. Any other suggestions for bags around my price range? Also, where do you recommend looking for pre-owned? I've been browsing Yoogies Closet, The Real Real, and Fashionphile.

I have bought 90% of my pre owned bags from Fashionphile. I have had no bad experiences with them.

I would choose something from YSL maybe the loulou range? What type of bag are you looking for something everyday, travel, work, or special occasion? I LOVE my alma bb in DE its a great size you can actually even fit a long wallet in it. I wear it most by hand as sometimes it can look a bit strange cross body but I love having the option. I also have a Gucci Dionysus in the mini size and I wear this one mostly by shoulder rather than cross body as its way too long (5'2). Mine is in the beige canvas I really like it but I wish I would have bought the small size as its just a bit too small for me. It might create redundancy in your collection as you already do have a flap bag. Depends on how much you like the style! I have a YSL woc as well I recently purchased and I'm really impressed by the quality of the leather! I would suggest picking something with the classic YSL logo as it won't look dated!

I would chose Fashionphile too btw because of the return policy. I have shopped through The Real Real and I wasn't impressed ultimately with the experience. Fashionphile if you contact customer service they will send you additional pictures of the bag. YSL bags often go on sale through Saks (10-20% generally) or even farfetch, net a porter generally have a standard 10% off code for first time users.

I'm looking for an everyday bag. It seems like forever since I had a special occasion. A bag that I can bring to the grocery store or to the office or even out to lunch when that becomes a thing again.

I was doing size comparisons for the dionysus. The small seems right anything smaller than that likely wouldn't fit enough. I want to fit my wallet, phone, keys, some makeup.

What do you consider the classic YSL logo? I really don't know much about the brand, other then seeing it on Instagram sometimes.

The Real Real's prices seem higher than the other two. I've purchased shoes from Yoogies Closet. Returned some Chanel boots once with no issue. Glad to hear Fashionphile has a good return policy as well.

I'll look at Farfetch and Net a Porter too.

If you have wanted the Speedy for a while then get the Speedy B. However, you would have to like the patina process. I think the Alma in DE is a classy-looking bag that would certainly be around forever. I am not a fan of big lettering on the YSL or on any bag. I also think Gucci can look dated after a while. That is not to offend anyone who likes either brand, but when there is too much going on, it looks too fast fashion to me.

I agree with fashionphile or Yoogi's Closet. But right now pre-owned is almost as much as new, so I would buy new if it's available. Everything I like on TRR is final sale, and I will not pay for anything that is not returnable when purchased online.

A couple of years ago TRR was ok to deal with, I've had horrible experiences recently, they are just sloppy with every aspect of the purchases, from grading the bags condition to making you fight for a refund. I have had nothing but positive experiences with Yoogis !! Good luck deciding !!

I have a speedy empreinte that I wear with a strap.
I do like the design.
If you think about getting something timeless, I would suggest leather and not logo.
Imho, go see the bag in person and then decide.
I love the YSL line right now but the chain can bother one’s shoulder.
Have you considered Bottega or less well known companies?
You might get more for your money and the quality is on par with the brands you mentioned.

Alma bb was in stock on the LV site. Why buy used when you can have new? Some of the pre-loved bags cost more than new anyway. I ordered one in damier ebene.

I always feel a bit guilty when I spend that much. I just got my emergency savings to six months income. Have to remind myself of that.
Congrats on your purchase, it is really pretty and practical, imho

It is impossible for me to see bags in person. There's not a LV store within 6 hours of me.

I've looked at Bottega bags and not seen one that interested me.
