Help me find a light neutral bag for spring / summer, please!

I've been searching for the perfect light neutral bag for over a year and haven't found "the one" so I'd love your help! I'm looking for a medium sized shoulder bag / crossbody. It must span casual to dressy casual, be quiet (limited bling and branding) but have personality. I'm open to any color in the cream to light tan range. And while I strongly prefer silver hardware, I'll happily go with gold hardware for an amazing bag. Cost should stay $2500 or lower (lower is always good[emoji6]). If it helps, I usually wear dresses (super casual to professional) and strappy heeled sandals in the warm months. And I love my Chanel bags but I'm not crazy about Chanel in this color range.

I've been seriously looking at the Mulberry Medium Lily, Miss Dior, and Versace rockstud flap. Love them all but none are perfect. I know they all have chain straps but that is happenstance. Any beautiful / functional strap will do. So please share your ideas & suggestions.[emoji1] Thanks!!View attachment 3316994View attachment 3316995View attachment 3316996

I was looking at these Givenchy bags a few weekends ago and really loved them. They look much better on and are not the same old same old....

I'm not sure about the color options, but some styles with personality that I think can be dressy or casual are Marni Trunk, Loewe Flamenco (beautiful for summer!), and Nina Ricci Marche and Vanesio. I'd also look into Celine Trotteur, and also Box (if you'd consider pre-loved).

Have you considered LV in epi ivory or dune? Silver hardware on both colors in epi.
The new Soufflot comes with a shoulder strap, it's the new version of the Brea.
There is always the Alma PM but I'm not a fan of it with the attached shoulder strap unless you went with the BB version but that's pretty tiny.

Lv Cluny bb in dune

I just saw this yesterday in dune and love it!!!! 😍 But I plan on getting it in black so I don't think I should get them both. But I'm considering it.

These are a little casual for me and I have ever liked the Pandora but I really appreciate you offering suggestions!!!

Thanks for the list. A lot of nice bags to consider. I have always been a fan of the box but I think I'd like it in a brighter color.

Bake - thanks for your suggestions.

I agree. I love the Alma but thing it looks best arm carried. If I go LV I think I'm leaning towards the Cluny. I'm not as familiar with LV and need to look at the epi line more closely.

I really love that bag. In comparing to Chanel how much does it hold. It looks like it wouldn't hold much.
Also, I worry that the rock stud detailing will look dated in a few years. I can't tell if they are a new classic or not. If I felt it had staying power for sure, then I'd pull the trigger.
Massaccesi Zhoe, Hand made in italy, bespoke (you choose hardware color and lining). €300.00
I'm not that familiar with this line but need to take a look. I prefer not to have extended gussets on this bag but I love the color. I want to see what else they may have in this leather. Thanks!

Soark,

It holds little less than a Jumbo. When I get home I will pull out and place some items in and send you the pics

I think the LV Cluny is beautiful in Dune. I'm not a serious LV expert like some of the ladies and gents around here, but the color hasn't been around all that long and likely at some point will be replaced with a new beige/nude shade unless it's super popular. So, that might be a reason to get it sooner rather than later. Only if you love it of course.

I'm going to look for something in Dune myself when I'm in Europe towards the end of the month. LV is substantially less expensive in Europe right now, due to the strength of the dollar and the VAT refund, so if you can talk your DH into a quick trip to Paris, you can get it for an excellent price. Of course, there is the plane trip, hotel, food, etc to take into consideration and since you're in Paris, a practically mandatory trip to Chanel, which might derail the whole "saving" thing lol.

THANK you for all the help and discussion. It was really helpful!!!

I have solved my dilemma and purchased an Ivory Chanel soft caviar w/SHW. I wasn't crazy about the jumbo in beige but I like the paleness of the ivory in the soft caviar. It looks less formal. I'll share pics when she arrives on Wednesday. Can't wait!
