Also, I would like to add, the back zipper pocket is very handy, I keep my phone and lip gloss in it so I dont have to open my bag all the time. Or its a quick place to slip things in and out. Very handy

Hi Everyone... I thought I would provide you with an update and ask for your insight. I went ahead and decided on the PM in empreinte. This is my second one I received online. The first I received, the embossing was not deep at all. It had all the protective stickers on it and had the handle stored inside, not attached. I returned it. This new one I received yesterday. It all looks basically fine, except I don’t think the leather tab and flower above is centered. Would this bother you? There was no protective stickers on the clasp and the strap was attached to the bag, but stored inside. Also, I have a question in regards to the S-lock, are both of the hinges suppose to move to unlock, as only the left one moves... I thought on the one I returned, both moved in towards each other to unlock. I don’t know if I should return this or not. My husband just says to use it. What are your thoughts, as I truly appreciate your insight. My husband says to use it. Thank you for your time.

Hi Loriad, I was just about to start using it and then started looking at it again. Looking at the picture, can I ask your thoughts on the right bottom corner of my Metis? Mine looks like the right bottom corner got chopped off, versus the other side being nice and rounded corners on the left side. What do you think. It has been bugging me since I noticed. Thank you so much for your thoughts on this.
I see what you mean. The corners on mine aren't perfect, since I think they're hard to do sort of rounded. This doesn't look that good. I'm wondering if it'll soften and be less noticeable over time? But this bag doesn't seem like it makes your heart sing. I know the feeling. You love the bag and want it to work, but this particular one doesn't cut it. Why not try to exchange it? I did that with the empreinte Montsouris and the second one was everything I had hoped for. Huge difference between the two. We pay a lot of money for our bags and an imperfection that someone else might not notice could be something you can't accept. Give an exchange a try! Maybe send pictures to your SA. That's what I did and told her exactly what I was looking for so she knew to inspect the new one when it arrived.
Thank you for your continue insight. I ended up returning it. The corner in really bothered me. This would be my second that I am returning to the online order. LV is sending another out. The first one the embossing was very light and not deep. So, I will try for PM #3. Hoping this one is it. I want to start using it! Thanks again.
I think I'd have picked the niki in this case. I have more LV than YSL but I am in the minority where I do not like the pochette metis at all. I can't understand it's popularity myself.

YSL Niki is a stunning bag dressed up or down with outfits. I feel like the quality of the Niki is far better than LV Métis. I have had both bags but sold the Métis when the glazing started peeling around the flap. LV did replace it but sold the new one as I felt it was a quality issue that I didn’t want to have to deal with possibly again in the future. I suggest get the bag that calls to you the most or you won’t really be happy in my opinion. Good luck on making your choice!
