thank you - I love my stone,too!!
I will be happy to let you know how it turns out (as soon as I can decide which one I want!!) I do love that third setting,too-but I would do it with a milgrain edge to antique it a little more- and I might do prongs instead of the bezel on mine.

You should totally do it that way! It sounds perfect! I think the prongs would give it more of the "flare" you get with the first setting.

I was browsing through Asprey's website today and saw this design. It reminded me of the inspiration of the flower pic that you posted. It would look fantastic with your yellow cushion diamond! ;)

Whatever you decide, make sure it's bezel set. I was with my girlfriend when she lost her D, IF, Ideal cut Cartier diamond. She was hysterical and uninsured. It was $70K to just replace the stone. Prongs loosen and stones can fall out. So look for bezel set settings. Good luck.

ouch! I feel sorry for your GF. That is horrible.

OP, I vote for the 3rd one. It looks more like an RHR and reminds me of the Tiffany legacy setting a bit. The first one is nice too for the colors you chose. The 2nd one is like an engagement ring as some people pointed out.

Congrats on the yellow diamond! I'm thinking of asking the DH one too once my jewelry ban is lifted. :smile1:

#2...yellow diamond with YG prongs, pink diamonds set in rose gold, plat/WG band with white diamonds. The different metal colors should bring out the intensity of the different stone colors. Plus you could wear this ring with any type of contrasting metals.

Just because it's bezel set doesn't mean the stone cannot get loose and be lost. Check it weekly and get it checked by the jeweler at least very six months. And for chrissake get the thing insured.
