I couldn't agree with you more. Around 3 years ago I was big into handbags and chanel in particular. At that time i couldn't bring myself to buy the JUC because in my *naive* 27-year-old brain, handbags were such a statement rather than everyday essential jewellery. I feel so silly now when I look back at my thought process. I genuinely do want the one with diamonds, but again I find myself questioning if the extra almost £5k is worth the spend.
I think you can get a small JUC with diamond which is significantly cheaper and pair it with a small love bracelet. That's what my plan is, I already got a small love no diamond but plan to get a mall JUC with diamond next year. I think the diamond really adds more shine to the whole set. Hope this helps :)

I think you should get the diamond JUC. Yes, the price is steep for the tiny amount of diamonds, but the sparkles really make the design much more interesting and pretty to look at imo. VCA guilloche is tricky, I don't like it as a bracelet because it tend to accumulate dirt and oil so you have to clean it more often. It's also more prone to scratches since it's on your wrist and can't be repaired. Most of my friends who own the guilloche bracelet regret getting it and wished they've gotten the pave or hammered version instead. The 10 motif guilloche necklace does look great on you though, but it's not comfortable to be worn as an everyday necklace. You don't really feel the weight just from trying it on, but once you leave it on for a whole day you'll really start to feel it. I'm saying this as I've worn the 5 motif bracelet as a necklace before and thought it's a bit too heavy, I'm sure the 10 motif necklace is even heavier.

I love my diamond JUC and it holds up well to daily wear. Small scratches and dings don’t detract from its appearance (especially the diamond nailhead version), and it can be polished by Cartier a few times during its lifetime. As previous posts have mentioned, this isn’t the case with Guilloche — and VCA has said they are unable to polish these pieces if they get scratched or dented due to the nature of the design. It is a beautiful and striking motif, but for that reason I would personally only consider purchasing it as a necklace and not for a bracelet.

I purchased the Guilloche VCA bracelet. Personally, I try to select items that have unique designs, practicality, quality. The Guilloche does collect dust, but just like a diamond, once cleaned it looks more vibrant. The design conceals scratches. As a stand alone piece, it’s much more subtle and not easily noticeable. I have had mine for 6 months and I have only had 1 person compliment it. During the compliment, I had it paired with a 6 carat tennis bracelet. So without a pairing, it’s a more quiet piece. The JUC on the other hand, seems to be a go to piece, however I think it’s social media marketing driving more of its popularity vs. based on its design. Tiffany, Roberto Coin and Dior have some interesting designs.

I think the JUC and the VCA are two very, very different vibes. Which one represents you more?

I personally love the JUC on others, but for me personally, the Nail-Design, as beautiful as it is, feels just to „hard“. I have the VCA Guilloche bracelet and really like it. I wear it stacked with my Love bracelet and because both are solid gold, I think they look very nice together.

I can’t say anything about getting dirty oder dusty, to be honest. It’s a bracelet and I don’t live in an extremely dirty environment, so no concerns at all.

The Necklace really suits you a lot. But the flower design and the soft, rounded shapes just add a lot of femininity. The JUC or even the love is a far more „edgy“ and „cool“ vibe in my opinion (compared to each other).

I think the necklace is gorgeous on you and I wouldn’t say it’s too flashy for every day wear personally. No more so than diamond JUC. I love the non diamond Cartier pieces and think they’re perfect for everyday. Let us know what you decide.
