Hi everyone! Hope you are well. There are a few items I have been eyeing for sometime now. The VCA guilloche YG necklace, guilloche bracelet, the Cartier JUC YG bracelet w/o the diamonds. I understand they are all very different in style and both usage. But i currently only have budget for one and with the current price hike lurking around the corner, I'd like to acquire something now. For your reference, I do not generally wear necklaces or bracelets but want to get into the habit of it.

Here's a picture of me trying on the Guilloche necklace. What are your thoughts? Does it look too flash or can be worn everyday?

Any suggestions will me appreciated.

This may be better posted in the VCA forum. That said, guilloche is my least favorite of the varieties they offer. I am a VCA fan and really love the the alhambra collection. I just am not a fan of guiilloche anything. That’s just me. There are people who love it though and it does look nice on you in that picture.

You mentioned not being used to wearing necklaces and bracelets so in that case especially, I would think the guilloche ten would be a bit flashy and less versatile. The bracelet is at least down at your wrist.

Of those options, I’d go with the JUC. I have the JUC with diamonds and it is shockingly versatile and an everyday piece- would be even more so, without diamonds!

Hi all, thank you for all your suggestions. Is it ok to style the JUC with a Rolex watch? Or would such stacking cause scratches and damage.
Also it is worth paying extra and getting the regular JUC with diamonds? The price difference is so significant!

I have the JUC on the other arm as my Rolex. And yes, I paid for the diamonds....totally worth it in my opinion for me, but you have to do what's right for you. Will you wish for the diamond version later? If so, it will be financially harder for you to achieve if you've already spent the money on the non-diamond version.

I couldn't agree with you more. Around 3 years ago I was big into handbags and chanel in particular. At that time i couldn't bring myself to buy the JUC because in my *naive* 27-year-old brain, handbags were such a statement rather than everyday essential jewellery. I feel so silly now when I look back at my thought process. I genuinely do want the one with diamonds, but again I find myself questioning if the extra almost £5k is worth the spend.

If you can afford the one with diamonds, and know you would prefer that one, then that's the one you should get. Worth it depends on your preference, not anyone else's. If you know for certain you will never ever want the one with diamonds, then get the one with out. However, if you *think* you'll be happy with the non diamond version, but are settling for it because the other one is out of reach, I'd wait till you can get the one you want when it's attainable.

I was into handbags too. And have had since sold away many. It’s ok, we had bag fun. And it’s time to move on :)

I think so long you can afford it AND you like with diamonds, then it’s worth that 5k jump. After all, that’s what fine jewelry (or even luxury handbags) is all about… it’s only worth it if gives you high happy index.
