Help me decide? Speedy B 25 in DE or Empriente?

I've had DE bags for over a decade that still look great and have no defects -- but have no Speedys (or NFs) in my collection so can speak to how the Speedy would wear in either material.

I have owned both, DE speedy b will look always like new unless you abuse it even that you may not able to tell unless look close, empriente is tricky sometimes new bags may not have deep imprint, and it's very understated, unless someone look right at it otherwise may not know it's a LV bag. and leather bags can't fold, canvas bags can fold like pancake and DE (or mono) holds the best resell value, newer glazes on empreninte bags haven't had issue melting

Such a fun choice to get to make! I would ask myself how I wanted to style the bag and then consider your lifestyle, too.

I own multiple empreinte handbags and SLGs and have zero issue with any of them. The leather is supple yet the bags have remained true to their original shape. Some of my older empreinte pieces are buttery soft, with the embossed monogram adapting based on how soft the leather has become, which I absolutely love. I own a Speedy B 25 in noir empreinte from the last release and even all the years later, I love using it and always get compliments.

I am biased when it comes to leather vs. canvas, though. I transitioned from canvas to leather about ten years ago and haven’t looked back. I enjoy knowing there’s less of a chance that I’ll run into someone with an identical canvas bag, but that’s just me.

The Speedy in DE does indeed have its benefits and the 25 size is great in either material. Have fun with whatever bag you choose!

I am following this thread because I have the same dilema.. But I think I will end with canvas. It seems more durable to me. Oh wait.. but the leather one has bigger opening due to zipper design. Yes.. that’s my dilema until now.

The smaller zipper opening on the canvas version was something I considered as well. The zipper was indeed rough on my hands going in and out of the bag. I also like how the empreinte version keeps its structure (no sagging, etc.).

I have had de 25b and mono 25b in the past. I sold both, for no real reason really other than fickleness. I have always wanted a black empreinte 25b and was gutted it got discontinued. The preloved models are so overpriced. Very pleased to see a new speedy b in empreinte in the pre launch and have just ordered. It’s a 20 rather than 25 but this is actually a better size for me. V.excited!

I don’t know if my hand too big or the opening is really small. But I just hate when the zip scratches my hand when I get stuff in and out. I have dry skin and I just don’t like the feeling. So yeah.. need to think and think about it.
