Hey there, just saw this :p
I sort of landed on something, I ended up getting a custom mono GM LV neverfull. Canvas, not leather, so a bit of a compromise, but very very functional. Most people advised against putting heavy books or a laptop in an expensive leather bag so I decided to get a more durable canvas bag.

I think the givenchy shoppers are also a coated canvas material, haven't tried them myself, but I like the design :)
