Help me choose which bag should i get?

I can't decide between these 2 bags
To those that have this bag, are you happy with this bag? and what color and hardware did you get?

Gold hardware or black hardware?

Black with gold.
Although I like the black on black look and think it's modern. I prefer the gold/ brass hardware because it's more classic, and give the design more room to breathe. Otherwise it's just too dark. From far away, it's a black box!

First, this is a fabulous bag. I think you need to process how you feel about wearing an easily identifiable designer bag to understand if YSL in gold is a plus or a minus for you. The gold YSL certainly pops, so for some it would be the "good news" and for others it would be the "bad news."

My personal preference would be the low key all black version, which I feel is more elegant and would go "day to night" easily. That said, there's no right or wrong answer here. Which one most appeals to you? Go with that one, whichever it is.

I have this bag in black w/SHW, and I absolutely love it. It‘s lightweight, spacious, and versatile.

While I much prefer the look of the black hardware over the gold, I’d be wary, given the chipping issues many customers have had.

I do not recall… I would do a search, or check out the thread that discusses YSL quality issues - hopefully you can find an answer there!

If you like both, just go with the gold hardware. At least, you get to avoid the chipping issue.

I prefer the gold in the camera bag. It’s already an understated bag. For me, it needs a little something to make it pop. I have it in silver and it’s one of my most carried.

Black with gold. I have black with black and it doesn't stand out like it does with the Loulou. I think its because the strap is leather and not the chain.

I don't know if my hardware is really chipped because its in a straight line like I hit it against something. Either way its dark silver underneath. Hardly noticeable though.

I’m actually considering the black on black as well. I think it’s more low-key. If you don’t mind it standing out a bit more the gold is nice too. I just like something a bit more subtle in public.
