I think I’ll go with macassar with mono horizon or all mono eclipse set . I’m going to use mostly for plane rides with a trolley bag but I’ve some road trips ahead. But I think macassar is growing on me . I’ll visit the store and see how pieces look together.
You are right about the ease of travel without vachetta pieces . Traveling is already a hassle and I don’t want to add an extra layer of burden for me. I want to keep my bags in nice condition but also don’t want to be a servant of my bag:biggrin: if I buy the vachetta keepall i know my nature I’ve to put it in a extra nylon dust bag for security checks and I can’t leave my baby with porter or chauffeur so it would be a headache for me😁

i know I love vintage look of monogram pieces and beautiful honey patina but can’t ignore the black/grey ugly looking handles that I’ve seen on resale websites.

I think we have a lot in common! I feel pretty much the same! I say go check them out and see what you think in person. The Macassar was a great alternative for me and I like the fact that my husband can carry it too (for me, of course 😂). I'm using it for a car trip this weekend!

As far as the Neverfull, I couldn't wait to get to the hotel and wipe it down with baby wipes and it's fine. They also had a laundry so I could wash my jeans and jacket. Yes, mishaps happen!

The vacchetta is the reason why I prefer Damier for traveling bags and luggage.

But if you like the world tour pattern, you should go for it. If the vacchetta is a problem for you, you will be annoyed about it!

I prefer the classic. The world tour in this picture is a little too busy for me. But whatever you like and would work for you is great!

I used apple Guard spray in the past with success. Sounds like to me that the vacchetta on the mono keepall will worry you too much. Maybe take your time and shop around for something that you will enjoy carrying without stress

Actually you have already answered your question yourself: the vacchetta will not work for you! And like I said before, you will be annoyed about it!

If Damier isn't an option for you, you should go for the world tour versionl I wouldn't treat the vacchetta with some sprays, but that's just my opinion!

Good luck on your decision!

Thanks @BULL for info ;) yes it’s untreated and the price is 3450$ (3750$ after tax) I mean it’s ridiculous:wtf: it’s too much for just stickers don’t you think. I think I’m not going to buy it what do you say??
