HELP: It's Still Cheaper to Buy from Hermes Store....

As much as I love Hermes, they're certainly the weirdest retailer I've ever dealt with. I've come across more snobby sales associates in their stores than I would expect, and their stores and website showcase very, very little of what they offer. It so odd IMO that they don't showcase all of their scarves in all of the colors available, and that goes for the clothing, leather goods...well, everything. It's almost like they're purposely restricting the amount they produce while opening new stores around the world.

As I said, they're the weirdest retailer I've encountered.

I'm too stunned to be pissed at this point. I guess Hermes has the right to do business with whomever they want. I can't help but think of the clip on Seinfeld with Soup Nazi. "NO SOUP FOR YOU!":cursing::cursing::cursing:

GL, they have had a lot of turnover at that store, and a new manager. has all this happened since he arrived?

I don't know about turnovers at SCP. All I know is, it's literally impossible to come across any kelly or even birkin at that store. Every time I visit, I'm the only customer there, or there is one more person there. There is hardly any transactions at that store (at least none that I can witness). I guess all the birkins and kellys are called for by the celebrities and crazy rich people in LA/ Orange County. And the transactions are done behind back doors. Therefore either the SCP store is highly profitable or it's losing big. I can't tell which. It's quite bizarre.

It seems to me people are only looking for birkins or kellys at that store, and there's very little sale on everything else.

I shop through SCP Hermes and actually find the SA's very nice... at least 6 that I know by name. They play with my kids when I'm there and help me bring bags to my car, etc...
I have read in other posts in other threads that one needs to buy other items from them before they actually will offer a birkin to you. Have you bought other things from them? Scarfs, wallets, other bags besides the popular ones? My SA tells me all sorts of stories, so I know they have lots of customers... and imagine if everyone one of them wanted a birkin (which we probably do, ;))! That is probably why they have to be so strict with that darn waitlist of theirs... Just my thoughts... I do hope you get what you wish for soon. Good luck.
