.....than from a reseller on eBay. So, here's my dilemma. I purchased my 30 birkin and 32 kelly from South Coast Plaza both from the window display- I WAS LUCKY.

And since then, every time I called or walked in, they've been less than helpful in locating ANYTHING for me. Their answers are always: "no we're not expecting anything", "we don't know when the next shipment will be", "I'm sorry I can't help you".....

It's very simple. I'm looking for a 35 birkin in a bright color or just the simple black. Any leather, any hardware....what's so hard about that???

Please don't push me to buy from a reseller and pay a deep premium for the same bag when I know full well they exist at stores.

Could any of you who have had positive experiences with your SAs PM their names and store numbers to me? So I can try my luck again? Is there anyone at Hermes who will take an order from me???

My credit card is on file at South Coast Plaza, but damn, they're the ones who will NEVER help me. What should I do?:cursing::cursing::cursing:

Bummer~ I can tell you that the FSH store said they hardly ever get in gold or black. They told that to a lady who was admiring our bags. I have been told that I am only allowed to purchase from in state stores especially via phone order. I don't know if I helped or not, have you asked them to put you on a list if one pops in?

Hi GL.... That is a real bummer... I went to the Las Vegas store and although I don't remember the guys name, the SA was very nice. He said that if there is something I need that my local store doesn't have, they would be happy to ship it to me from their store, assuming they have it. Maybe you should try calling them??? Good luck.

Sorry to hear you are having trouble...

I referred a friend to my SA and was told they can't take phone orders unless she is a repeated customer. My SA was nice enough to say I can pay on her behalf and the bag will go to me, but they can't deal with her directly.

Do you know the name of your SA at the SCP store? I don't see why she's unwilling to help you if you brought 2 pieces from her previously.

GL, I have the feeling they will be nicer to you if they see you in person, wearing one of those bags you bought from them, and even better if you buy something else. So, you can bring up your request again...in person.
I guess they need to see you in the store.....

I have not heard of the 2 bag a year rule....but I do know that getting things over the phone is difficult. None of my SAs will do that for people they don't already have established relationships. Granted, I am in the NYC area, so they tend to be a bit more strict. I remember reading somewhere in tPf that the SAs in Charlotte were helpful over the phone. My memory could serve me wrong, but for some reason, Charlotte stands out in my mind.

The thing is, twice I wondered into the H store and happened upon my kelly and birkin. Even though previously, I have mentioned to my SA of my preferences and asked him to call me if ANYTHING in that size comes in. He didn't call of course, I chanced upon the bag myself.

Then, on a different occasion, I asked to be put on the waiting list for something very simple. He told me the waiting list is closed, blah, blah, blah,....etc. Once, when he was on vacation, I asked the same thing to a different SA, same thing,....blah, blah, blah.

There seems to be no waiting list at SCP period. At least no list for MOI. I don't mind waiting 6 months to a year for a non-exotic 35 birkin. But the thing is I'm not even being put on the list. Even if I wait patiently, everything is already spoken for, and I'm merely waiting for AIR.

I'm too stunned to be pissed at this point. I guess Hermes has the right to do business with whomever they want. I can't help but think of the clip on Seinfeld with Soup Nazi. "NO SOUP FOR YOU!":cursing::cursing::cursing:

it stinks but i have to tell you that having lived in several places and having done business with numerous stores..........they are all different. some managers are just nasty; many of the SA's are arrogant and many are getting paid buy resellers. there is technically a 2 bag rule BUT that only applies to people who only buy bags. If you buy alot of other items you will usually get what you want. there is luck too of course but by and large total brand customers are treated well.

Hermesaholic, it tends to make sense..how can all these resellers get so many bags brand new? I know H is aware of it and is again leary of that...thus the supposed 2 bag rule. Once they know you well, I don't think the rule applies.
