Help! interesting leather texture, is this normal?

When i received my sanguine brief, it was so dry looking, wrinkly, and looks like it's gonna crack anytime. I immediately moisturized it with lmb and it looked better. Then the next day, i guess the moisturizer dried a bit. It went back to being wrinkly, cracked but this time it's shinier. I got used to it and now i'm loving it. I also noticed that the more i use it, it's looking better. IMO, sanguine color needs time to get used to.
